I can vouch for Minnetonka4me.
It took us several emails, and sending a few parts back and forth to sort out a parts difference based on year changes.
Never once did he complain, and I got the exact parts I needed.
 
I will just see if I can do some digging and see if I can come up with a picture of you, and your shop. It seems like everyone is right you give people general answers and give us the run around and it seems like there is something to hide. Yes I am a skeptic and none of your answers helped you sway my biz, thanks for what we already knew. I am out of questions, doesnt matter anyway, there were no real answers. i am usually an easy going positive guy, but something is just not right

What is your shops Address this should not be a personal question. Every business wants their address posted everywhere, more business

Minnetonka is a good dude, every single thing I ordered came quick, as described and at a fair price. Did I mention he gave me a crazy thing called a TRACKING NUMBER.
 
So you dont have a real address if in a complex you would have a suite number. Just google searched and century one does come up.

Are you in a shop, garage, pole barn?

You are a plain out LIAR, i just called the century 21 to see if there is a shop still in business there and she said she has not seen anyone there in months. Anything you post I will investigate. You were there now you are not

Yup def a sweet building....not the one on the website, but sweet none the less.

Free shipping means nothing to me, I always look at a total price including shipping. I would NEVER send anything of value w/o a tracking # thats just plain stupid. Up your price if thats what it takes...no one would fault you if it meant a better customer experience.
 
He is not in that shop Nick, I called century 21 and said I wanted to know if there was a shop right behind their building that works on motors, she said there was but there has not been anyone back there in months. So something is not adding up. I am positive it is the same TOM as east coast,smith marine and metal god. Everything I read from old post had his exact name, the guy isnt legit


Oh yeah as soon as I posted that comment about that not being his shop, he logged off, weird


Sounds like this guy has moved around quite a bit, there is a post where another guy picked up a motor 45 minutes from that shop. So I think he keeps moving and whoever has a motor out to him while he is moving gets caught in the moving process. It takes along time to move a shop and set it up. We did it tens years ago, took us a month to get everything setup.

You know the real dopes..a smart person in his position would have not said anything. At least then what is said is just a rumor. Now he has dug a hole that will be tough to get out of.

John at JetskiHaven was the same way back in the day.

I am sure you have a smart phone or someone that works with you does, do me a favor and take a pic with you standing infront of the building and email it to mpaavo82@yahoo.com that will be the end all and I wont do anymore digging

But they have not seen you there in months? Is that just a storage area for you then.

I have no idea, since you are at work now, walk over to the building and see what receptionist is answering the phones. They answer the phone with saying something associates. Ask if someome called looking to see if a jetski shop was behind there building.
 
JSG, you got paypal, so there is no risk. Why don't you buy a motor from Tom, and then you can comment. If it doesn't work out you can always get your $$'s back thru paypal. This thread has taken a ridiculous turn, it started out as a informative thread about an engine rebuilder and has turned into SES bashing, from someone who has never purchased or even seen his product. And like I said before, who gives a rats asz where he builds them? I couldn't care less, as long as it is a strong running reliable engine. His feedback on e-bay is positive as well.

I have two of their motors, and so far have been happy with them. Is there room for improvement in customer service absolutely. I feel for those who have had to wait crazy long for their motors to be returned. That has not been my experience.On both of my motors Tom sent me tracking numbers.
 
So noone on here has the right to make comments but you, sqrl and harry, the only positve comments on here. I am posting everyones experiences and post, you can read each thread I am posting, that was not started or has anything to do with me. This is not bashing, but has sooooo many unresolved and inconsistancies it is crazy. He can not answer the biggest Issue you all have, SHIPPING.
As for seen his product I have,many people post his mishaps, which i know that is the people who will post the others are out rippin up waves.
I was interested in using him, and after pm'ing our fellow knowledgable users and reading threads from out current date back to his origins, I am a huge skeptic and what better way to get all my answers as a possible customer than right from the horses mouth.

Also I do have paypal, why risk my motor and not get it back, or have a problem when I know the issues.

Have you ever tried getting your money back from paypal, takes forever, now my credit card would get it back quick. Thats not the point

If you hear a sushi restaraunt keeps get ecoli are you going to risk your stomach there. Educated desicions is what I make, I am not a gambler, plus who want to have a $1000 and a motor gone for 3 months

JSG, the difference between the squirrel, harry and myself is we all have his product, and can speak from experience, you sir cannot. If he sells 400 motors in a year, are there going to be problems with some of them, absolutely. Just the way it goes, are those people going to be vocal,absolutely, and I would be no different. Regardles a of how good you are, there will be issues, and when looking at a product or service, you need to put that into the proper perspective, because there are many of us that have been happy with SES, despite the few that have not been.
 
I have a quick question, has anyone on this forum ever see me get upset about anything or have I rubbed any of you the wrong way. This is not my nature, but when I feel like I am being lied to someone is giving me the run around I will call them out. I have had nothing but positive dealings with everyone I have interacted with on this forum. If you guys think I am the only one questioning some of this then I will stop. It seems to me many of users have had issues and they needed to be brought to the forums attention. 3-5 months turn around is straight out disgusting, some of you have had good experiences and are pushing his products, but you are not taking into consideration all of this shady stuff. Obviously I am on to something because this thread is getting more attention and viewers than any thread has had in months
 
Robj, from the look of these 2 forums, sdf and pwc, I would say that many of these posters haven't been happy, despite the few who have....
