NEWS!!!! NEW TOY.

Well I bought another SeaDoo today. I got a 96GSX, just like my big brother's, Jake. I'm attaching some pictures. It's an ugly duckling right now, just brought it home. I wasn't going to buy it until I rode it, runs like a scalded dog.

The guy I bought it from had taken it to a SeaDoo dealer, and they had rebuilt the pump, new wear ring, new bearings, new carbon ring, etc. $800.00 of work, I have the receipt. Also he had the carbs. rebuilt last year. Most of the fuel lines have been replaced, I don't know why they didn't replace all fuel lines.

The info. center either needs new film or replaced. VTS actually works. All the gel cote is faded, probably can buff out. Hood and handlebar cushion need painting. Need a few parts. It will look great next spring.

Oh the good news is I got it for $800.00. Bad news is I got it for my wife.

Lou

Good deal Lou. Now we can be twins when we ride! Ma said she always wanted twins.

Y'all should see this place where I got this ski. It isn't in the boondocks, you go to the boondocks get to the boondocks, get off the paved road and then go about another 20mi., it's somewhere near Seaman (heh heh), OH. Couldn't hardly find it with a GPS.

Lou

Sweet, I want to get the wife something like that. She loves her GTI but I want to get her something a little stronger. Maybe we can when we get our taxes back. Cause we prolly wont sell the GTI and I will have to make a new trailer to hold 4.

Grats,

Thanks,
Yea, I've got the same problem, now I've got 3 ski's, 3 trailers, 1 tow vehicle. This summer I've been leaving 1 ski and the lake and trailering the other. So for the rest of the summer I guess one will have to stay behind.

Lou

I just worked it out.You havn't got it tied to the back post so Jake don't steal it.You charging the battery thingy. And that tree beside the driveway.Wasn't that the one we planted when I left your place to come over to Ozy?(go away for a few days and everything changes)

Criss, You've got a great memory, that tree was planted by your Dad when you were just a baby. Look how big it is now, it's only been 75 years.

"Let me know how you like the GSX compaired to the GTI. Once you give it a good running. Be objective." by Hackete

Well I rode the GSX for a couple of hours today, really like the ski, It's as quick as my 96XP but a lot more stable. I guess it really depends on what you're looking for. The ski is more comfortable to ride than the XP but not as comfortable as the GTI. The straight line performance is comparable to the XP, it doesn't corner as quick and you don't get as much air as the XP, when you jump a wake.

I think it's going to make a good ski for may wife, she'll be able to keep up when I'm riding the XP

Oh just thought of something else, you know the XP is really not a 2 person ski, I feel relativity confident with a second person on the GSX.

Hey Lou,
That was really good ider to mount those hot dog sticks right on the trailer so ya always have them at the camp.

The guy I bought it from put them hot dog sticks there, they don't work all that good, makes the hot dogs taste funny.

He put those on the trailer to help guide the ski on the trailer, I took it to the lake today and really didn't have any trouble getting the ski on the trailer, maybe the ramp he was using was steeper.

I think I'm going to use the holes to mount a couple of hook eyes to strap down the ski, currently the only thing holding the ski on the trailer is the front hook to the winch.

Just set a kid or two on the back, works for me.

Grats on the new ski, I like the top of those hulls, kinda beefy looking.

Jake, where do aliens come from?

Good question Ernie,
Pa told me all about the aliens when I was a yungin. I even saw one of them there UFO's when I was a little tyke about 5 years old. Gosh darn thing was hovering right over the truck when we was a comin home from the drive in picture show. Fact is we is the aliens. Aliens have been here for millions of years. We are descended from the aliens. Great show on the TV called Ancient Astronauts splains the whole thing. Course we only gits the black and white picture on the Magnavox but if we have Sis hold the rabbit ears over her head it comes in pretty good.

Good luck in the contest to go visit with cousin Criss. Don't forgit to grab some popcorn for the yungins whiles yer here.

Jeezus Lou.Was it that long ago.I don't feel a day over 72.
I suppose you are only as old as the woman you feel.
MMMMMM Titties:drool5:

Hey Lou,On the handle bar padding,do a little test with some petroleum jelly.Put it on.Leave it for a day or two and then buff it up.It may come up pretty good.Give it a light scrub first with soapy water and a green pot scourer. After that. Some armourall

That works Lou! I put a little petroeum jelly on my "handlebar" and buff it and it comes up really good. I don't know what that has to do with yur new ski though?

Damn Jake. The pot scourer is so your hand don't fly off and break your wrist on the doorknob. You know.Right near the finish bit.Aunty Ma used to call it the sensitive moment.
You know the most sensitive parts on yer body when yer doin that is yer ears.Yep.
Listening for someone walking down the hallway.

Saving money advice for you young fellas
Don't go and buy those mens mags with all the neked women in them( mmmm breasticles:drool5:) (.)(.)
Go and get some travel brochures from the travel agents. You will still be looking at really nice pictures of sensational and exotic places that you will never get to visit anyway. And they are free.
Just a short money saving tip from ASK JAKE and LOU

Borderman, welcome to "Ask Jake and Lou (and Criss)". We got cold beer here so sit back and relax and enjoy some popcorn and a cold one. I got to take quick run over to the Walmart and get the wife some Tampax and pick up some more beer and popcorn, so I'll give ya an answer when I get back. In the meantime Lou and Criss probably got some good advice.

UPDATE:

The new to me 96GSX has 122hrs., it's looking like a better deal all the time.

Well to tell you the truth, you shouldn't have asked her, you should have told her to bring you back cold beer. Then she could serve it to you when she takes a break from cutting the grass, and other chores.

BTW: Do you know what 95% of abused women have in common?

They just don't listen.

Lou

Well Borderman!
not long ago, finished my shift at work. Before I left work,I rang the better half and asked her to pick up some beer.no problem. She drinks beer.If she drinks wine, you drink beer and the beer is empty and the wine is full. She dont give a shit.If the wine is empty and the beer is full, she will drink the beer and say she didnt have time to go and get the wine.either way,we are screwed. They will drink the beer and say I wanted to be closer to you.Bullshit.!!They didnt get in the car and go down to the shop.If we are out of beer,we don't drink their wine.
If she does not drink at all, delete everything I just said and get in the car.
Woman do not like going into a place to buy a case of beer.(my daughter just told me)it makes them look like pissheads..there you are.Straight from the horses mouth.Jake and LOU will give a more local version of this

Hey Criss, Thanks for the advice, I've already tried in on my handlebar. I used the green scrubbie first, pretty rough, I then used the vasaline, it did soothe it some.

Next I'm going to try it on my SeaDoo, I don't think there's any color left, but it's worth a try. I'm thinking about painting the handlebar cover, it that doesn't work I'll have it covered in vinyl.

I did do the hood using a similar method, I used a commercial product, right now it looks great, I don't now how long it's going to stay that way.
