It's a 2 stroke. It's soppost to smoke, and part of winterizing a jetski is fogging the motor and that will make it smoke like crazy. Smoke is a good thing, it's when they don't smoke is when u got problems. Now, he could be trying to cover up a leaky inner crank seal but some skis crank seals...

Did u recheck your carb settings? Sounds like it could be loading up with fuel. Check pop off and check needle and seat

Wow that is way to long for a rebuild, I would ask for some money back or something. Won't you lose the warranty with a aftermarket head? IMO it's not worth the risk. At the very least I would run it for a season stock to make sure all is well. Where did U get the stickers from?

i have always wanted to do this. mostly on the rear rub rail so i can stop banging up my leg so much.

now i get all winter to clean the skis up and maintain them. hunting season will start soon and then snowmobile season will start. Gotta stay busy!!

it seems like u have a lot of fun on the crf 50 of yours. i have had a few crf50s and klx 110s there always a blast to ride. i think the grom would be a good choice. There cheap and they seem to have a great resale value just incase u get bored with it.

Theres better deals out there i just picked up a 95xp that is slightly sunfaded but mint on the inside for the same price. it was a fresh water ski with low hrs. with winter on the way there is better deals to be found. i would atleast expect to put a reman motor in there, carb rebuild kits...

i know a few people with groms they end up riding them more then there big bikes, they all say they are twice the fun. I have head talk of big bore kits coming out for them and there seems to be a lot of aftermarket support. if you are looking for a fun bike to ride around town i think that is...
