Rule #1 with carbs....you gotta take the covers off and check for rust before you send them. I forgot over the summer with a site member...and of course they were the worst set ever. OCOD maybe? Anyways I sent him another set and had him keep the other for parts.
 
I know it's hind sight but the guy I ride with always requests internal pics of the carbs. Something I think everyone should request.

On a side note after you pimping that Panduit Zip tie tool I went out and bought 2 of them. They arent too insane used on ebay.
