So November 13, 14, 15th?
Very interested, as far as the XP the previous owner should be getting the certified letter tomorrow. All depends on his willingness to help. Not sure if i can handle an X4, i'm fat and out of shape. If i fall off i may have to get towed back to shore LOL.

Count me in. This is too close to me for me to miss it... Even if it is the Auburn vs UGA game.

Time to invest in a wetsuit.....

I'm out of for this one. Will just be getting back from Hong Kong.

Hopefully we can get started on the planning for Spring 2016 so everyone can make arrangements.

Dan it will be good to have you down here, you are welcome to watch the game at my place if we aren't on the water. You are pulling for the right side!

Just returning from an 8 day cruise so didn't catch this thread until this now.

Any chance that a location could be found that might be near rentals? So some of this that could fly in but not Tow skis might be able to rent and participate ?

Spim I can bring something for you to ride. Nam that goes for you also if things open up for you. I owe the both of you for helping me over the years and would love to help. dGoodwin I'm happy to hear your gonna make it your another one I need to meet.

Mpower too bad you not coming but yes lets get a big meet planned for the spring. I'm not too proud to steal jetskijunkies idea on that SC lake haha.

MC sounds like we lost 9 percent lol(you were 99 and 90 on the last post)

Adam and Nick just let me know how I can help make this happen. If Nick's gonna make that drive I want to support it.

That was 1of500 that was 99% not me.
So where do we go from here?

Oops sorry.

I say we shore up the list of attendees this week and then we will know what the proper accommodations would be.

thanks matt, it would be awesome to be able to join you guys!! i'd love to meet the kings of the seadoo world, I actually almost stopped by racer's place when i was in PA, but my wife got mad at me for trying to leave her, haha

thanks for the offer matt, I might take you up on that , as of right now i'd have to see how my schedule works, but i'm normally extremely flexible, its really just a question of cost/convenience, and of course... receiving permission from the wife.
I'm between ski's right now, but I seriously doubt I will be for long, but towing a ski in my 14mpg durango would be a LONG and expensive tow, especially since I fly for free, so I could fly into a nearby airport and rent a car/ski a lot easier and probably cheaper than towing from way down where I live.

So assuming this goes down what are everyone's thoughts on a 'swap meet'? Its not like any of us have any spare parts laying around

Spim,

I could pick you up in Atlanta (ATL) if needed. I could have a spare gsx to ride if someone is willing to troubleshoot the carbs when they show up ;)

I've been talking to Krispy and we are starting to narrow it down. I see two good options at this point.

Option 1- We base it out of R Shaefer Heard Park. It is on the south end of the lake and that's the closest to the interstate. That gives us options for camping on site or utilizing hotels along exit 14 or exit 18 of interstate 85.

Option 2- We all meet up at Highland Marina Resort. They appear to have around 20 different cabin options either lakeside, lake point or dockside. They are not pricy either. Krispy says it's at a nice spot on the lake. I like having everyone at one place for camaraderie aspect of it.

Please check it out and post your thoughts.

on a brief glance, my first thought was highland marina, I like the idea of a bunch of cabins, and maybe we could book a few very close to each other, like the idea of boat rentals as well, GA isn't that bad for me, (I thought you were talking SC or further) and gas is cheap so I might reconsider and drive vs fly... of course I have to find a ski between now and then or make arrangements, the pwc rentals at the lake are pretty expensive... but the boat's aren't bad at all.

y'all do realize it might be dam cold right ? lol,... time to bust out the neoprene...

dropped a hint to the wife this evening that something is cooking in november...

I am pretty flexible anytime after October 19th.
May want to check to see when the the Georgia State Championship is.

Off season rates apply November 1st through the end of February. Sorry, off season rates do NOT apply to the Georgia State Championship held in November. Weekend rates apply March 1st through October 31st.

the date/weather in november, GA, is pretty much a crapshoot anyway, it might be beautiful weather, and might be great color change too, just depends on that weekends forecast, just bring extra layers and hope for the best.

once your off the water cooler temps won't impact anything either, maybe a good excuse to find a fire pit :)

I love the idea of a gathering, and also the lake, (after my recent trip to orange beach I thought it would be an awesome gathering spot as well, but sometimes the gulf can be rough)

I think there are just about enough active members (and some of our ride buddies) to try and push this to be an annual thing or a spring/fall deal in different locations. All you really need is about 6-8 guys and you've got a group. It will grow from there.

I also encourage members to do some side rides, I've had several with members and we've always had a great time.

The southeast offers a lot of different locales.

I'm happy to bring things that folks request. I always have a few spare parts on hand so no simple little thing takes out a ride. I'm a big buyer as well. If anyone wants to peddle some aftermarket parts I'm listening. I will bring my programmer so people can sync their keys, set timing, etc.

Well Id say if were renting a place a big hot tub and fire pit should be requirements. Couple hundo more for a sick place split 10-15 ways is nothing.

Also....Of course if anyone needs me to bring parts I can.
