So who's local that can check out vrbo rentals? Who wants to take charge? We really need to lock this in if I'm going to be able to make it.

Krispy said he is willing to go over and lay eyes on it. We are talking about the weekend of November 13-15 on West Point Lake in La Grange, Ga. The specific location will likely be Highland Marina cabins. Texting Krispy now....

I'd be willing to scope out some places in GA and get some pictures. I think the idea of a group of cabins would be awesome.

Highlands sounds good

The water temps shouldn't drop drastically or anything so I think we should be fine riding. Cabins, fire pit and seadoos. Sounds like just the vacation I need. Let's do this!!!

Looking at the Highlands cabins. Pricing is not bad at all. They look to be right on the water as well

although a VRBO isn't a bad idea, the logistics of doing a VRBO with 5-7+ cars and a crap load of trailers might make a private home rental quite complicated. The cabins are probably a safer bet, individual parking and maybe a trailer parking lot... not to mention that I snore and fart while sleeping.

we just did a similar deal with family last fall, a double trailer and two boats, 5 vehicles near orlando for a golf/boat trip and it was a friggen mess with all the trailers, the VRBO home just wasn't a good fit for all those trailers.. we all said "next year we just do a hotel/combo setup with a legit parking lot"

it was our mistake of not thinking that part through the driveway looked huge until the 4th vehicle showed up with a long trailer and #5 ended up parking his car at a walmart nearby.

Nick, is your brother going to be able to make it?
He still riding that spx on the original 787?

Krispy is out of town till Saturday so it will be a few days before he can lay eyes on it. It's definitely on though and Highland looks like the ideal place. As Krispy said before, they are used to bass tournaments so I think their accommodations will serve us well.

Yes his SPX is still running although he has realized his hull is waterlogged. So in other words the engine outlasted the hull with the beatdown we give them.

We are trying to figure out our logistics, but if he drives he will likely bring his mod RXP.

I'll be headed by tomorrow afternoon, what can I look at in terms of cabins etc?

1. Water/beach access?
2. Trailer parking?
3. Cabin numbers next to each other with the best of #1?
4. Gathering area for a bon fire?
5. Group rate for a few cabins?

Nailed it! I think all those things are clutch. Please let us know what you see.

Now if anybody out there is offended by out of date Seadoo fashion here is your warning! I've been buying up the majority of it and I'm rockin' it everyday with an outfit change squeezed in there now and then. It's your job to guess the year.

Krispy also make sure they aren't dropping the lake for dock repair seems like they do that around November at some of the lakes I go to

I wish I could drop my company for 3 days (but feasible with an opened airplane ticket and a ride/ski provided to me). That would be so cool! Guess if we discussed computers a little, I could fly down on my company bill... My ski and driving are out of the question: ski not insured below 40th parallel and driving way too long.

I would be so due for a change of scenery...

Well Benji and anyone else like you is sure welcome! A couple extra good running skis can be arranged but beyond that most of us are always just trying to to make our regular skis better.

Minne- so glad to hear I might not be the only one caught in purple or lime green haha.

Is the location final? Where is it exactly? Close to Atlanta? How could I get a rented ski?

I forgot: if this would work, it would have to be in an area where 3G, LTE or wifi is available unless this is a no show for me. I am on call from 7 AM to 10 PM 365 days a year... For hardware issues, I can always find someone to replace me but no Internet is impossible for me.

Benji.
