The boat was another salt used turd. Trailer was rusted through, boat not shiny like the pics implied. I passed for $650 because he had nothing that was not here in the yard already needing my attention.

2000 gtx DI, engine completely disassembled, but a really really nice trailer, excellent hull and easily $900 in parts on the ski, (probably more for the patient seller) but i'm so deep into other projects I had to take a pass. (ok, well I lowballed him and he said no, but If I wasn't knee deep into other stuff I would have probably gone closer to his asking price. but putting a di back together would be quite a chore, I was thinking of it as a part out. Had it been a carb'd model i mostly likely would have picked it up.
 
yea... I guess you're right, the 450 woulda been a more or less reasonable offer, then the guy will go, he'll take $500?

i had $600 in my wallet, I offered $450,,, which I thought was a reasonable offer, and ya, if he countered at $500 we would have done the deal.
 
I stand corrected. I'm glad we both past on the last deals Spim. As we get deeper into winter the dead Doos get cheaper and cheaper. Let's put a central Fl ride together man.
 
Of coarse silly. There are half a dozen members around here that would probably go. Our northern brothers wouldn't believe us out there in nice weather in Dec. Of coarse there are some nasty days in there too. It's just the luck of the draw I guess.
 
sweet!!! i'll be getting my 96 gsx ready too, hopefully the 97 will get faster as soon as the wear ring gets done
 
I'll be in Bradenton from Nov 6-12. I can make the ride any day but Friday & Saturday....unless we end by 4PM
 
I was thinking maybe between Christmas and New Year's? Buddy, I love that red GSX. Nam, a new wear never hurts. Your GSX's are perfect cruisers.
 
well i'm hoping the wear ring will fix the top speed problem, it's only doing about 31 or 33 right now
