thanks again matt, i was hoping it wasn't in the front :( i forgot to mention, the storage bins were breaking, so the lady epoxied the the whole bin in place so i gotta scrape it out, she said i could do that, but it'll prob break the bin...plus i'm going back to gville for a few days, so might not get to this til later in the week

Is there any way I can go back and edit my SOOOOO clean statement?:lols:
That all needs to be put right anyway

yea..well it LOOKS clean, the first time I was there, I tried to use that as partial bargaining point, that's how we got everything down to 700 without trailer. I knew I wanted to be able to have the front open to ventilate the ski and also I told her in case I needed to get to the gas tank and the hoses, but I figured if she didn't need it, then i don't need it. Guess I was wrong. BTW this is the box you're talkin about right? this is a pic of my 97 gsx

Nope. Same location but completely different. There was a major electrical change in 97. When you get in there you will see why we call it a "grey" box.

Ok gotcha, thanks a ton, Matt, yes it'll take me more to get there than most people. I do have a gray boy in my spi, but the connectors looked like the rear box that I posted last night, so that's why i thought that was it

really really wish this dumb biotch would not post anymore

months ago, i tried contacting her (not even sure if it's a her, but sounds like it from the ad) with my name and phone number, twice, and she never got back to me. now, whenever I see the ad, i just flag it, there is no point in putting up an add and not responding. I wanted the red gtx at the time.

It's been flagged for removal. So I can't see it........good job to block the ad.

hmm, that's interesting, I didn't realize it worked so quickly, and that it only takes 1 person to flag it, but i can still see it

yea that's pretty badass, but yea, insane price, can def get someone to make you one for less than the 25K he "supposedly" spent to build.

nam, just to answer your question from the last page, (i was out of town for a wedding) yes, the gsx was picked up over the weekend, with kudo's to toro for taking care of that for me, i plan on meeting him this week at his convenience to move it onto my trailer and take it to the shop. I'm in his debt now, and i've officially received payback for my Good Samaritan work picking up a different (and better looking) GSX for SDBuddy. kudo's also to you for posting this up, i never would have noticed it otherwise. IMO that model (purple/red) was the ugliest GSX ever designed, BUT i'm hoping that the engine and electronics will be quite serviceable, just trying to make chicken chit into chicken soup :) i'll make a decision on the hull after I have it in my hands as to what i'll do with it. (its almost too dam ugly to fix up, but too early to determine what will be done with it)

this thread has definitely been a boon for me.. I own 4 ski's that have been listed on this thread, although two of them I looked at a week before they were posted here. a 5th ski I purchased for SDbuddy and is being fixed up locally here, so the activity here has definitely generated some nice purchases, some for personal use, some just for parts, but all winners at this point. Bottom line, directly or indirectly this thread has generated at least 5 nice pickups !

Keep up the good work ! Nice pickup you made as well, i'm sure its problems can be resolved and i'll help in any way I can. It looks like its time for you to build some quicky stands so you don't fill up the garage with trailers, you can get half that garage back if you can build some stands and find a place nearby to stash the trailers, all you need is a 20foot spot in somebody's back yard not too far away and you can stash the trailers outside, and the ski's indoors.

Last year, I really had issues with storage space (mainly with my wife saying.. WTF !) until I started being proactive and asked around to people I knew and they were nice enough to help me with my storage needs. Storage on a Retail basis is quite pricey, but if your proactive and do it with everyday people that don't mind helping, and appreciate a few bucks, it can be VERY reasonable and convenient.

Hey Nam,

A inexpensive cart solution I use is one of these but the wooden one and pieces of 2x4 screwed down.

Slide ski off trailer until pivot point then have someone put dolly underneath pushed towards the pump then slide nose off trailer.
The weight of ski tilts front of dolly wheels up(along with pieces of wood) helps catch the nose as you bring it down.

Getting on is easy with winch. Usually lift nose up to bunks then winch. At some point the pivot point make raising back of ski easier.

Congrats on the purchases Nam and you too Spim.
I think your right behind Matt as connoisseur of Seadoos.

Btw Nam that is one big family to supply everyone with a ski.

spim, glad to hear you're enjoying the thread and making use of it, in some ways it's only hurting our wallet and time :), but it's def fun, and I'm getting so much help from you guys about repair q's, so that is very much appreciated as well. Yea, it would be nice to just have the skiis floating on stands, but i think it's prob more hassle to find a place to store the trailers and move them back and forth. plus i'm the only one that uses the garage other than storage, and whenever I need space, I just pull the trailers out into the driveway, but thanks for the suggestion!

thanks oscar, I actually bought 2 of the smaller harbor freight dolly's and was going to just bolt/screw wood 2x4's across it, but I managed to fit the trailer in, so i returned those. And since i'm the only guy at the house, then it's a pain to move things back and forth, so I'm going to keep it in on the single. Oh, and everyone is DEF NOT getting their own ski, that would be a big mess to maintain, and an even bigger mess to repair. Pretty sure I'm "done" buying for now, cept maybe a stand up if I find the right one. Cause where we launch there is 3 miles of no wake, so once we launch, we're not going back, versus at a lake where you ride around and we can still see everyone and chill. At least this way 6 of us can go out, well, once the 96 gets running.
