hopefully you'll let that boat slide into your yard!!!! and hopefully you got it for $500
man... so I went out with my fiance and her brother today, spi, that ski is clutch, runs perfect no problems, onto the gsx
so it's solid, real reliable, much more stable, vts works awesome, you can tell the difference putting it up and down, and also you can see it on the gauge, digital tach works good, time running is good, digital speedo is crap, shows 0 most of the time (I don't even remember it jumping up), there was actually an analog speedo too, that's crap too, shows 0 most of the time, then jumps to 30-35-0, whatever it's doing. NOW the problems, top speed on the info center recorded 41 mph, I brought my gps, and it only read 33, the ski doesn't fly AT ALL. Compression is good, I believe it was about 152ish in both last time I checked. I was thinking it could be wear ring or rave valves? the mechanic said he would replace the wear ring for me, any other suggestions?
Yes both wear ring and raves for sure. I did not get a call back on the boat today but the parts deal was not worth it so I got to build on a race ski all day.
The tach on my 96gsx read high. I would get the trail tech so you know for sure.
Now this guy is down to $1600 on this already with no trailer. It has never seen salt. What do you guys think? I've always wanted one, I'll call it the wife's ski.

runs about 25-30 mph? compression 120? isn't that bad, i know a lot of people say 951's are supposed to be 135 psi.....

thx nam, i'm forwarding that as we speak, he bought a hull, but its bare bones so he's missing electronic's, engine, pump, just a few of the more important things

That red GSX deal was a go for sure. I went up today and bought that 98 Speedster for $300. You can hold the applause and jealousy if there is any out there cause it ain't that sweet. Everything is there but everything is froze. I have another 98 that needs saving so the parts will come in handy.

That's a good question. The "Hydro Drags" are the main event and they come from all over the world and reach 100mph+ from what I understand. I see that there is a slalom event that looks more my speed. I see a couple vids on youtube and it looks like they just time you while you run around the bouys by yourself. I have no reason to believe I would be any good at it other than just owning capable watercraft.

thats a very good looking package, hard to sell two ski's at one time tho, my guess is he grumpily settles for between 4K and $4400 sometime in the next 30 days. the 02 has no reg sticker either, might mean its been sitting for some time.

there's more to it than the ad says, the hood and its related parts on the 02 is from a 97. and the 96 has a hump seat so there might be more than meets the eye there as well.

just a thought.. are we missing anything out there that's NOT on craigslist ?
I really don't search other sources, but maybe we're missing a niche market thats not getting picked over by CL.
