Had to pay him $1200 . He had put a mint into the stuff back then and wanted 16. It was way back then though and there is an inch of dust on everything. It is essentially two 96 XP's with no trailer. One is a bare hull(and I mean bare!) and it is painted to match the other one with silver on top and black on the bottom.

The Prize is the race ski with a tuned hull. The motor is out and blown but all the goodies are there(Spec 2, Novi's, Jettrim). Both skis have UMI setups, three partial motors total, two cranks, bucket of sponsorship stickers :thumbsup:, new hyroturf mats and lift wedges in the bag still, etc. I'm happy but would have been elated at $800.

I've spent the profit on the speedster I haven't even fixed yet

nice job !!! , you have a hell of a score there ! and i think $1200 is fair enough since it certainly fills the need, and depending on the novi's and what generation they are, you might have paid for half (or most) of it right there. on my last deal, I broke even just by selling a set of carbs, proks, and one prop, still have 6 tubs full of parts.

I did not see any extra props but there is a set of ProK's in the box new. It's so dusty and disorganized that there will be stuff I didn't get to see that will sweeten the deal. I like the partial gallons of Klotz and BRP 2-stroke oil everywhere. Everything will eventually get used.

I was excited about the Novi's. They are new billet looking ones and I've never had a pair but see that they are very expensive. The po saw most of the value in the hull. He claims that thousands were spent on the tuning of the hull alone(by Pops Fischetti). He used to run this ski against my other boats and said that my engines were faster (Bo Dupriest, Neptune Performance) but this hull stays flat on top of the waves and turns tighter in the bouys. I'm thinking "maybe he was just a great rider?" But any advantage is welcome.

Nam that Speedster deal makes mine look poor. Same hull and same engines as 96 too. Look as that interior.

how fast is fast for those xp's? i know they run close to 60, so would ur new ones do over 70? sounds like a great buy and lots of fun parts

Speedster is a great deal regardless.
Those skis should be around 65 mph maybe 67 on the Neptune I have. It's all about that 10 mph gain and how fast you get to your top speed.

yea they are pretty sexy, seadoosource has them listed at 70 mph, i think that's as fast as they will allow stock

yeah i dont doubt it , at 40 water turns solid, and 50 you start breaking ribs lol above 70 is a lawsuit waiting to happen................but damn , 2 pipes? that thing is like the Banshee of seadoos! given is a 951 and would need rebuilt and loved like every 2 years, its still one sexy beast ! haha
