I totally understand that guys pain. You should have seen me at the boat ramp yesterday burning up my precious wrenching time watching redneck spin around on my 93 SPX salt turd hoping it didn't blow up.

yea i'm sure it sucks, but for a potential buyer it's a real turn off, I was thinking....what if the carbs are not adjusted/dirty, but then it's fuel injected 
pretty appealing price though, I really like the standups, but I think it's too much effort for me to get someone to put one together

Yes that would be a good sized project for anyone's mechanical skill. I like the "double" trailer too. At first you are tempted to make some redneck welding jokes but then you've got to hand it to the guy. He is just offering a cheap way to get a couple skis around and willingly admits it is ugly.
I got my but up and went and scored this 96 Speedster for $1500!!! He posted it last night for $2500. It is garage kept, came with cover, shiny hull not beat up at all even on the underside. One of the 717's fires up and runs perfect and he couldn't get the other one started(I can :thumbsup
The only downside is that the engine room is a little salted. I may pull the engines and clean them up because these boats can bring a good coin in good condition and fine working order, right?

yes they do, if its nice & clean your in the 4K range or more. I had a similar one I did with a 96 single engine, got the upholstery from kcr357 here (great guy to deal with) very very reasonable.
Awesome. I could fire the other engine up and make a quick grand, but I might go for more. This thing was garage kept and the original interior will pass fine, decals are still bright. I should do wear rings, pump oil, carb kits, oil filters and used gauges. Then I might hire the engines soda blasted so I could paint them up nice........OK, maybe I'll just start the other engine and take the easy money.

That one looks like it could be a real winner. That is a newer, cleaner ski then I normally fool with. If it does have that"great compression" then it would probably be a matter of finding a mechanic thats good with those fuel injection systems.

Well then that's even way better yet in my book. There must be one of those silver 717's in there. That could be a nice ski deal he just needs to be beat down some more on the price. Dead Doos are not worth that much. That guy isn't gonna do anything with it other than give it to the first fella peeling off a few hundos. I hope he "inherited" a title.
