Nice write up, good info here, thanks for sharing. Now I will bring mine over and you can restore it for me...LOL

I would love to go through mine like that, check and replace everything thats not perfect. I just can't crawl around in that engine bay very well(too old and out of shape). It almost killed me to put a starter in...LOL.
I have this bookmarked for when I slooooowly redo mine.

I took my Challenger out this weekend too. It was cloudy but warm, and I haven't been out in a month or so. I'm not sure I'm going to winterize the engine all the way as I plan to be out on it on nice warm sunny days all year. It's the reason I got a boat afterall. Has anyone out there seen water crack a seadoo engine? I hear they're designed to empty all the water out of themselves and are pretty good about it. It got down to 25 the other night and the boat was no worse for the wear... Is pouring antifreeze into it really necessary?

looks very familiar. shame about the season ending over there, hope it wont some you working on your boat.

take care buddy

Looks mint! I've actually been wanting to do this for years. That original plastic wheel has so much flex lol. Nice job Andy! Glad you got the wheel you did. The other one is mid 80's Boyd Coddington billet overload. Sorry.

Andy,
Doesn't mean you can't try and sell it for more that the NADA appraised value. :)

We do it for the love of wrenching and boating anyway...right!! :)

Gotta buy low so you have headroom for the repairs. If you buy high and do repairs, well, you might as well run it for a number of years until the engines need repair. What I like to call "Use the fun out of it" so it doesn't sting when you sell it. Wait, I never sell anything, LOL If you sell it now Andy you're gonna take a................
