Andy,

Didn't you see the one I posted on the other thread?? It was a short strap under the rub rail just like the OEM one. Right where you put the screw to hold the strap they put a snap--very simple.

Oh man, I wish you would have emailed me, there is no way I would have ever used that supplied strap. Even Seadoo used a rubber strap under the rub rail. You just made me sick to my stomach, I wish I would have said something, I'm sorry.

I know your not fond of the ladder and it's all personal preference, but honestly I don't think your going to find anything better. Like I said before, I think it's Da' Bomb and I was using it like a swivel to hold my 230# with out fail. I know they're tough cause my young man forgot to latch mine with the rubber strap before, yep 50+ MPH with it flailing behind me. LOL, yeah I can't totally blame him, I forgot it a few times too.

Sorry Andy,

I didn't see the post where you asked it it snug/loose. I'll say it's just "there". If your worried about a rattle or something I don't think it will happen. The one on my Speedster has a rubber strap and it has some play and I never hear anything at all, not even when dragging it @50+ LOL.

I wouldn't put too much into the forecast.

after drilling a 105mm hole in the side of our FJ for a snorkle, this strap attachment is sooooo minor... didn`t even blink...:rofl:

If that doesn't scream "measure twice (or more), cut once" I don't know what does. :)

We did a nice 34+ mile ride down one river and into the next and back. Mild chop from wind and the boat handled it no problem. We just cruised at a steady 6k rpm most of the way, and stopped a few times to look under the hatch! all ok!!!

Man I`m sure Glad it`s all come together and we can just ride and enjoy the time on the water! :hurray:

oh!, and the new depth gauge is working "Reel Swell" :lols:

Congrats on the new depth finder success. :) 6000rpms seems to be a really good cruising speed for these boats. Last weekend on my "shake down" run I found 6000rpms to be perfect for cruising.

Really happy for ya Andy!!

Almost perfect.
The boat responded perfectly. Went out for about an hour and came back to the dock. After letting the boat sit for a half hour, I cranked the engines with absolutely no problems...so the needles and seats were the answer.
My fuel gauge is not very accurate. It is showing just a little over 1/2 tank, but if you actually look at the tank it is a little over 3/4 full. No big deal!! Thanks for asking.

nice job! i have the 1999 looks to be exactly like yours .
since you took it all appart can you tell me where de selenoids are located? if you have a picture that would be great! thanks

Hopefully you will get out there soon and relieve some of that boater anxiety!! It has got to be killing you! :)
I had to relieve some boater anxiety last weekend and today after work I'm taking the DI out for a "shakedown" run.
