Yeah....I was on the fence bout doing anything to the motors.. read the riva would increase a 1-2 mph increase and more throttle response per engine. I think I'm going to leave her alone though. Seems like money in ther wind right now..besides the bp shake going on! Could kill the summer of fun...

Anyone out there installed air intakes to their motors? I was thinkn bout gettn some. Riva has some I was eyeballn.

I got a speedster 430 hp and love it. I too was debating and settled on the 20 footer! Buying used saved me quite a bit over a new one.

I def.. will be looking into marine subs if I were to buy some for sure. Car subs would work I'm sure just for a season if your lucky! I am eyeing the JL subs since my other speakers are JL. I think they come with a 2 year warranty.

Anyone got any subwoofers in their speedsters? Maybe an 05 and up? Thinkn bout adding one. Thinkn under the bench seat would be a good place for some 2 8in. Don't know if it is worth puttn 8 in. Any ideas or pics would be cool.

Do you have a scandisk or something?Have you looked at radio shack? If I am understanding you right it is the round hole in the front of the radio? The aux hole? I am not sure if they make a pin conn to usb connect. If that is what your looking for.

They r specific to manu. Regardless if car or marine. Only time plug will work if it the same brand and model #. In car audio you have to purchase a wiring harness specific to your car and a mounting kit. I payed someone to install my cd player. Did you receive a plug with wires with the cd player?

Most decks come with a wiring harness that plugs into the back of the deck. From there you take the wires from the plug and connect to the wires from your boat. You may have just unplugged the old unit without cutting the wires which you will need to do to connect the new one. I least I think...

So what are the signs of the washers going bad? Loss of rpms? I have one motor that seems to lose a little rpms but it is about 3000 mark it bobs dwn 100 0r 200 sometimes. Seems fine wot just a lower rpms. Seems to run fine other than that.That normal? I know replace them anyway!

Jl makes tower speakers and a hell of marine speaker. Sony sucks as far as speakers in my opinion but as far as head units I have 1 and I like it. I notice not to many people have jl speakers (admit a little pricey). I have replaced my stock speakers with the direct replacement JL's with an jl...

I got boat us insurance but didn't get the tow/assist extra. Though the policy comes with 2 tows a year.
