Sounds like one of my gtis. I cleaned the crap out of post and key contact points with extremely fine sand paper. Worked for me.

I would work on one condition at a time. The first being little acceleration. Rebuild carbs. Don't just clean em up. Buy the kits and take your time. Pretty simple but start with that.

Coastie, I guess my question is in the manual it says the primary winding should ohm at 5 ohms (static test) and that's where im getting 0. I also hooked the stator up but unplugged signal wire to solenoid and the 5a fuse didn't blow. Any thoughts? Thx!!!!!
