Hello folks I have been buying and selling sea doos for several years now, most all I have had to rebuild in some way , today I pulled one out that I have had for a while and it is a 95 xp 800 with the 787x hump seat single gauge pretty nice ski and all. I was going to sell it for $500 but after looking around just being stumped by the x that I had never seen on a 787, I found this thread. Are these skis still sought after ? how do I tell what number in production it was ? Should I part it out fix it up or sell it like it is? I guess with these skis you never know everything .

Here is something you x4 junkies might want. It is only $5 right now. I am sure you guys will bid it up.

Thanks man, but I already got one on both my X4's. What I could use more of is time to rebuild two motors before the season really revs up. Been bogged down with house work and Challenger issues. Got a stuck impeller on it, applied a ton of propane heat and 2' breaker bar as well as impact gun and nothin'! It IS a regular thread: counterclockwise to spin off? I think I might need to get one of those super air guns. That or take it somewhere. I'm losin' hope :boxing_smiley:

wjoeyjr An "X" motor is rare. Very rare. Not that its all that special...lol its just rare. And as a collector, we like rare.

You have to post a picture of that number plate.

Id say running its a $1500 ski as it sits, $2000+depending on how much elbow grease you put into it.

for only 500 being made, I think i've seen about 300 of them for sale in the last 2 years :)

Minnetonka4me has a source that says that they only made 500 that were setup for racing. The number of the actual 95 800 was alot higher so the the hull is not as rare as we were all thinking.

Just to set the record straight (LOL ok not really...) but Bill O has said that they sold around 500 with the X motor. Not ALL 95s came with an X motor. Thats why there seems to be so many 95s out there..b/c there are.

So you have one of the rare ones

How do you get the R&D nozzle polished liked that!?
Page 77 for reference. Is that just a regular 85/88 nozzle polished up or what?

so what do you guys think I should ask for it? I took the motor out and pulled the head and thats when I noticed the x I was just going to clean it up and put new rings in it ,every thing in the motor looks good and clean nice tight rods pistons look good cylinders look good etc , I figured since it was dirty inside the hull it proubally needed a full rebuild, but it is no where close to needing one.
