It's not. I call Carquest and they bring them right over(1/4" inline fuel filter). When you stretch the hose over the 5/16 though it does end up being a nice tight fit.

The intake grate is a screen. Just look at it. It won't let in the larger chunks that will bend impellers and drive shafts. Without one you could actually suck up a baseball.....maybe even a softball.

thought someone might enjoy another sexy engine inside the x4 hull

I noticed that 99 SPX doesnt have a multi guage. Is that normal? Thats the only gauge worth a damn on my 96XP. The VTS gauge is helpful but not required and the MPH gauge is a joke.

Otherwise you are just guessing at when they open by "feel". Now you can tune them to open together.

Spim that is a "sexy" engine. Looks like your reading full EGT these days...didn't know that.

Why the Holes in the raves? Seems strange. I have seen a million modified ski-doo motors, never once seen that.

yes, what matt said below, you can just look and see if they are open

no matt thats not my ride, i had been going thru some threads and pic's I had and thought it would fit into the x4 thread that's all.

good eye btw not everybody notices it :)

This winter will definitely be some serious pimping out of my 96 XP. Inside and out. Building a one off custom snowmobile to be unveiled at the biggest show in Canada. Many sponsors on board it will be an unreal ride. Seadoo's are slow compare to sleds. But hey, girls in bikinis can't jump on the back of your sled.

hahha, ya i read that story,, funny stuff.

you'll love the x4 with the 951 wheels, its an amazing ride. lots of work, but worth it.

Lol I herd about that.. Not far from wear I ride.. But no not me or anyone I kno..

Yes i can tell just by looking and reading about it what I'm getting myself into.. But I'm not worried.. Looking foward to next summer and this summers not even over yet

Rod In Escondido, Keep in mind that the SP only has the smallest engine 580 and the SPX is the 720 and not the 800 that everybody wants. The two skis appear to ve clean but his price is high for what they are. I would only pay $1500. I just bought a 1996 XP 800 and 1997 WaveBlaster 2 with nice trailer for $500 just north of Santa Barbara. I got a steal but they are out there. $2,500 is just too much for those.

talking about the x4 hull i just bought a 96 xp and trailer for 600

Well i got my first x4 hull last night!!!!!! good buy at 500w trailer but the motor is in seriously bad condition. All the bolts on the head cover and the crank are frozen solid. DAMN SALTWATER!! currently im gonna make this a winter project because i have my 93 xp currently on the bench torn down and cleaned all up for new jugs and pistons. my 93 hull is clean but this 95 xp is absolutely spotless outside and when u open the hatch of course the dreaded salt pocking all over the motor. when i pull it out i hope something is saveable in the motor especially the crank.
