But thats the thing. Theres no exhaust leak. I looked all over cause I thought the same. No holes in the pipe and all gaskets are good. Its just a raw smell of gas once the seat is removed

Just curious about the x-4 hull. What are the major differences between it and my 94 SPX hull? The beginning of the post indicates it started with the 95 XP but to my untrained eye I dont see where the differences are. Want to find out if I should be looking to upgrade to make the most of my time on the water.

Thats it!

Matt, That picture is it! I need to do that on all 4 sides. It looks comfy!

Nick, Dude a group buy would be awesome. November is perfect. I can't wait to do this and in the meantime I think I'll chill out a little......Eh who am I kidding hahaha.

check around your water box mounts sometime the holder sockets rot out of the hull and allow the rubber boots to leak.

upper deck is pretty much the same. the bow was narrowed, the stern wided and trim tabs added. that the major ones.

pic's are forthcoming just gotta get my guy to lift that heavy sd card and put it on his computer to send them.

a full sheet of B stock (one bad spot) i think is about $60-80 to the door, and its enough to go turf happy on 3 skis ! so you won't run out of options. The first time I looked at a sheet of B stock, the first thing I said was holy chit !!! that's a LOT of turf ! its 3 1/2 feet x 5 feet !

Cool thanks Spim, We have a place here in Michigan called the foam factory I'm going to check them out for the material. They have everything. Anyone happen to know what material the hydroturf is made of? Neoprene?

leary that thing looks sick!! Also what do you guys do with the little beep speaker when you swap the handle bars for racing type ones? I cut the wires, pulled them down the steering column, soldered them, heat shrinked, and put wire loom around them, taped the loom and i secured it with a clamp inside the hull. I wish it was louder when i put the key on, but the beep is muffled by being down there :/ What do you guys do with yours?

Spiminator, that X4 is super pimp! What's up with the extra Trail Tech? What temp is he keeping an eye on? I see that WD46 sticker like Justforfun was rocking? He did a great job on the turf. Is that one of those Mline seats?(looks comfy and sexy) Is that enough questions for you?

my beeper is wire tied inside the hull like you described funny you say that i never realized it started out in the hood itself lol

the 2nd TTO is an engine temp gauge
the DI46 sticker goes on all my buddy's skis even if they don't want one, justforfun was stubborn but eventually he caved in.
not sure what brand the seat cover is actually
just right

i zip tied mine to the steering stem of my umi right below the hood, so it's still audible.

yea thats what i did too i was just wondering if anyone had it so it was still attached to the handle bars but at the same time not looking too goofy

I zip tied mine on top when I put my bars on, It doesn't look that bad but maybe we should come up with a new and improved loud speaker for under the hood? I put mine on the bars because I need to hear it for overheating because I don't pay much attention to the gauges while riding like a maniac :D

DUDE, SPIM, THATS GANGSTER! I will be cutting mine similar, great reference pics  Ok so where do you guys get the mat by the roll? hydroturf.com?

Gentlemen if your rectifier looks like this, That's why your 787 is running like shit. If you look at the edge there's an ooze coming out of it. I think a capacitor bled out underneath there, it looks easy to fix but I wonder how to get the PCB out of the housing?

either hydro's website , this site (not sure if the discount here applys or if they have sheet stock but check) or good old ebay, you just need to pick your style and color, order a sheet, cardboard up some design, and cut. (that makes it sound easy doesn't it ! ) I was thinking if just running about 12-14" on either side near the ankles in the footwells, not running the whole length like in the pics. regular sheet stock isn't crazy expensive either but again, 1 sheet is enough to go crazy on more than one ski.

Yes, and it's worth it. The one with live bids on flea bay now has the piece that covers the stock handle bar pad(I never see that piece). Normally the UMI trigger alone is $75.

The entire umi set-up would be better. It doesn't look good with the stock stem and bars without the bar pad.

I personally hate the handle bar look and prefer the stock look. My dad owns a machine shop if I needed to make a custom adapter to make it look better I can just make it there myself.

Hey Guys, What grease am I supposed to use for the drive shaft, Im talking about the zerk under the gray cover.

Is marine grease ok? Or does it need to be synthetic?

i'm 99% sure its good old fashioned marine grease, i haven't opened up my grease gun in AGES !

but don't go squirting away till somebody confirms this :)

I like marine grease fine. Synthetic is better but not a must. It's more important just to keep up with it.
Hey Revival, look at that billet piece I'm talking about under UMI and Seadoo. It covers the foam to make the billet trigger look right with the stock bar setup.

I've been using Walmart SuperTech marine grease for years, it fits in a mini grease gun, I use the same stuff for trailer wheel bearings, also works great as a personal lubricant. I know Jake I've used that line before but I got a new audience.
