I'm not sure cause I'm not the builder but I'm almost sure that they have internal fuel pump with independent pick up tubes from the fuel tank

Unless they aren't assembled yet I don't see any pulse plates

Let's put it like this.. that was my ski... lol

Then it was white and in a few days will have another colours cause now I'm in a team and will have the sponsors colour..

It's a race ski now... Mmm mods I'll try to remember all

On the engine... msd enhancer, without mpem key, factory pipe spec 2, those 48mm 3 jet carbs with dual pick up tubes and Thundercats manifold, the engine is ported, bored to 83mm, I don't remember how much compression but will run race gas only, I don't know the degrees of the rotary valve and some more details I don't remember, as I said I'm not the builder I just race it, the hull is a stock hull with beach house sponsons modified by Bill o'Neal at watercraft magic, ryd nozzle, jet dynamics intake grate, if I remember correctly the prop was a solas 16.5x23, has umi steering, single gauge hood and I thinks that it's all the important stuffuploadfromtaptalk1443802545280.jpg

Those annular discharge 46mm carbs are made by SRE. I'm using them on my Zebra looking ski now and they run well. I like the Avenger 1 as well.

These are 48, I don't know if they are modified, before these I had a set of 46mm buckshot on this ski

I have a set of 48's also but that's getting big for a 787. I was going to use them on a 951. I guess if you have the porting and good fuel to rev on then the 48's would put a Superstock closer to 8K rpm.

I'm running a fuel pump on each of mine but they don't really fit together right on this intake manifold. I adjusted the linkage accordingly.

I'll have the ski finished and running if I'm lucky for the next weekend, so I really don't know by now how it's gonna work... my builder has those carbs on his race boat... he was argentian champion a few times and also raced the world finals in havasu with his ski in the 90s... don't know wich category...

Who is your builder? Have you raced before this, just don't seem to know much about your ski. Your ski sounds like it's built and pretty bad ass

Yes, I've been racing for a year, now we are starting the new championship, I'm from Argentina thats why you don't know too much about the ski, my builder is from Cordoba here in Argentina, his name is lucas galione, i can't send right now more pictures of the ski cause he is 300 miles from home

Thanks for your comments guys

Total noob in this stuff but arent we all in regards to a quality motor rebuild at the mercy of who actually rebuilds the crankshaft and bores, hones and chamfers our cylinders? depending on the tolerances they find acceptable is the question, or the experience of the machinist doing the work; assembly as long as you do a leak down check, squish and follow service manuel to the T is there anything else you can do? As for assembly quality, I say all this assuming you have perfectly rebuilt carbs and clean fuel system, no vacuum leaks, properly maintained oil pump, etc. . . So are Hot Rods cranks any good still or no? My questions are stupid probly so please go easy on me :)
You my friend.... have the most intelligent accurate feedback

See the problem you have Brian is most people do not have the superior/expert/guru level of knowledge that you have accumulated over your years of racing. Also most engine builders do not give anywhere close to a level of detail that you seem to have as far as margin of error. Although you have had that 951 apart a few times this summer....some of which was your sons error...but still. I know that wasnt the only issue this summer.

Many people never even take a seat off their machine. They expect it to run a long time with minimal effort. The 951 to many is not that motor.

Again....as we have talked about before...my opinions take in mind the average weekend warrior....not YOU.

You can keep your clapped out 951 Ill stick to my lawnmower engines....dick.
Alrighty Minnietonka. Game on. However you may feel that Im sending people in wrong direction on tech info...

I personally like to share " accurate" knowledge on SD maint and upgrades. My motivation is fun recreational hobby stuff. NIck, my apologies if I am interfering with your " flea market" used parts agenda on forums. While you have chased me off your personal page ...even after my youtube video rubbed "your opinions " in the dirt, I would appreciate some respect here on public forums. Afterwards Mr Bill Oneil, the father figure of SD, agreed with me and stuffed your face in dirt, Nick you still argued against him and me. So in summarry to Nick C ....Im seriously disapointed , not so much in your knowledge....but your professionalism. Keyboard Kowboys keep guys like me from helping out . Over and out fellow weekend warriors.

I wasn't even talking to you I was stating my opinion. That's what the Internets are for if you haven't figured it out already. You know it's ok to have a difference in opinion right?

Don't worry about me and my "agenda" your attitude clearly speaks for itself and why you have trouble getting anyone to care what you say.

See you in a week keyboard cowboy my agenda will still buy you a beer.
