Karl........:?

You know, I always try to refrain about the glee of being able to take my boat out in December or January just because of our Northern friends who don't get to enjoy that pleasure. But, it has been a un-naturally warm winter for us this year.

On the other hand, in the summer months when the humidity is 100% and the temps are over 100, you don't have to worry about leaving in those extremes.

So, there seems to be pros and cons on both sides of that coin.

 I'm not seeing the con here.

Maybe we should should arrange a trade. You guys spend the winter here, and me and a few of the other canucks will spend the summer down there. At the end of the year we'll compare notes to see who complained the most.:rofl::rofl:

hmmmm,

Hmmmm, then I guess it's safe to say you've never been in 100 degree heat with 100% total humidity. It makes you feel like your sitting in 125 degree temps. I wouldn't think that far north, you'd have to deal with that kind of humidity. That was what I was referring to.

Oh no, BTW, even though there are pro's and con's, my body is kinda used to the humidity.......but when it gets below 32.........Everything I am is shut down. I'm like a bear in hibernation!....I can't take the freezing temps. But, I've never seen our snowbirds (people from up north who own condos at the beach) stay during the summer heat waves. It can be pretty bad. So bad, it's sometimes to hot to take the boat out!........it's like your sitting in a hot bath tub of water! That's when I sit in my A/C garage working on PWC's or at my computer playing Halo, drinking a cold glass of sweet tea!

No chance of humidity like that up here, but I lived in Monroeville For a couple of years and was pretty happy in the summer.

That's hot...

Well, then you know about the heat.......but I live on Mobile Bay and when a high pressure cell is over us and stationary, there is no air moving around. The humidity rises because as the water in the bay evaporates, it goes no where. Just sits over us like an invisible cloud and your clothes will be soaking wet after sitting outside, under a shade tree for about an hour.

I'm not complaining though, after living in Brunswick Maine for a year. Oh no, believe me,.........snow is pretty but it's kinda like one of those places you don't mind visiting, at least once in a lifetime but never want to live there!

If it snows here (which it does, maybe once in 10 years or so, they shut the whole city down with an accumulation of 1/2"..........

I would give up the summers in a second to live where it gets cold.

That part about the humidity...don't like it.

In the summers here, you LITERALLY have to change your shirt if you walk to the end of the driveway to get your mail and newspaper. You will have sweat through your shirt when the weather is at it's worst.

I don't work on ANYTHING during july and august. And I have A/C running into my garage...it just isn't worth it.

I have to get all my toys running smoothly by may or I just won't work on it again until october.

And snipe is right, there are days where it is just too hot and sweaty to even take the boat out on the river. You just drip sweat into your eyes, stick to the seats, and the seats are too hot to sit on. You cannot finish a beer fast enough before it becomes body temperature or warmer.

That is why i don't accumulate hours quickly on my engine. We tend to find a running river with a little cooler water, put in, and immediately find a beach and spend the whole day in the water playing rather than riding around.

Snip your commernt about sitting in a hot bath reminds me of this one time back in high school me abd a buddy cranked the heater of his pool one night and forgot to turn it of... well next day it was super hot out and abounch of use jumpin it the pool to kool off well need i say more... pool was 115 deg aha though my skin was going to fall off. Oh one we here in the north also have day where all you do is fry....

this is a pic of a guy that forgot his sun screen ahaha i had toget a pic of him witch was around 11am and party ended at dark...

Come Live Where I Do

Come to Kansas! In the winter it just gets cold and we don't have much snow. The wind blows at least 20 mph for most of the year. In the summer we get into the 80's, 90's, and 100 's with humidity between 70 and 90% and there are enough mosquitos to carry you away. This is the land where the sh*t from the north and the sh*t from the south converge and then a tornado takes away your house lol.

Pink guy?....

Wow, I bet that dude who was pinker than a watermelon was a hurtin mug the next day.

Not only did he wake with a hang over, ....he woke with some pain. I'm sure he made it look like it "didn't hurt at all!".....

Lake snows'........

Last time I was in Wisconsin, it was Kenosha. If I didn't butcher the spelling. The snows there were un-real. I believe they called them "lake snows". Because of the snow being created off the lakes....

I watched a show on the Edmund Fitzgerald a month or so ago,.....those lakes can be as treacherous as the Atlantic Ocean during a Noreaster.....

I dont' think Scooper will trade with ya!...........

Speaking of winter and lakes, heres a pic from my beach look out at the lake....
The lake sure looks cold LOL still hopin to have the boat in by mid/late april :willy_nilly:

Spunky...send me a copy of the deed to your house, maybe some pictures, I will get it appraised and we will work something out.

Only thing is there has to be water near by for summer sport, and mountains for winter fun.

The Weather is chilly here....
