Coldest day of the season so far..overnight temps...hit 30's f* Brrr. I was tempted to turn the heat on last night...my house dropped to 68*f by morning. Last year winter season we didn't turn the heat on once.

1.49, and they are talking about it going lower still.

Still ain't buying this BS about everyone is driving less and demand is going down. My habits haven't changed (in fact I drove to Florida to buy Karl's boat this summer at the height of gas prices, and dragged a boat back) and nobody I know has changed their driving habits.

Here in Florida the set back is the economy is bad...There are lots of out of state snow birds, but they aren't spending on anything but groceries. Driving all over the place and congesting the roads.

Karl

Gas dropped again...$1.68 per gallon and a warm sunny 83*f, water temp is 68*f...waiting for St. Nick next week.

some day...

Karl, one day i will make the trip to FL just so i can b*tch slap you lol :boxing_smiley:. Here in KS we are having highs between 10-20 degrees. We just got snow and a SkiDoo doesn't sound like a bad idea right now.

The wind really does blow in Ohio, so I'm told...I think I'll go boating being as it's so warm here...water is 69*f, I see today...

Nasty couple days here in Florida ...weather was sunny, 83*f wind was calm and the water temp was 69*f. Just had to run my buddies "08" 115 speedster 215 hp supercharged. It's been sitting in my yard for the last 2 months. He came by from Miami, before he moves back up North after xmass. It was kind of his last blast in the sunshine till spring, or till business picks up here in Florida for him again.

We had similar weather much of last week. Sweaty and hot, lots of sun when the fog burned off. I was thinking of pulling the boat out of hibernation this weekend. Even took my new GPS to the lake (marked the boat ramp) and stuck my hand in the water, feels aobut 66.

Had Christmas dinner with the wifes family on Saturday, same weather.

Then sunday morning, wake up with boating in mind and step ouside to 45 degrees and 25 mph out of the north.

Ended up staying inside and reading a book.

Gas has been hovering around 1.40 for the past few weeks. Not complaining one bit about that.

Atlanta

It was 22 yesterday when I woke up and tommorrow it suppose to be 65?
Gotta love the weather in HOT Lanta. Come on Arpril.

It's freezing here today...69*f... gonna get to low 70's later. Might go for a cruise later with a member from Chicago visiting here today with his 200speedster sc.

OK, 2008 at a glance

I thot I'd throw out a few of my favorite cartoons, and pics, and odds and ends from 2008.

I'm a ziggy fan, and the economy is messed up so, that is our first selection.

This next one is funny. It is a real place of Business in Ash Flat Arkansas. And, if the economy has got you down, well, he can make you YOW!

This Next one is my son AKA "Big Help", and that is a cotton mouth.

This next one is my daughter, Elizabeth. She is 5 now, but I think she was 4 when I took this pic. They keep having birthdays, and leaving dad in the dark as to their real age. They change them every year, and at odd times, so I am kept guessing!

This next one is Jeremiah Stephen. He is 3. He really like fresh cow milk, and rarely misses a chance to go milk with dad.

Then, our Weimeraner had 13 pups this year. The dad was a mongrel, Rotweiler mix, and "weimer" has a bit of pit bull in her. She is very friendly, and thinks she is a lap dog!

Then, this next one is "Big Help" with me at work. He is a fine little man, and has been running with me since he was 3.

God has been very kind to us, and we are very thankful.

I think I have figured that we don't have it as bad as I thought, weather wise.

Today (Christmas) we have low to mid 70s air temp, and only 65 water temp. That is bare-back weather on a sunny day, or spring suit weather on a cloudy day.

It just seems like this year the fronts are blowing through on my days off so it is 45 degrees (or colder) on the days I am available to take out the water craft.

I guess I will stop whining.

By the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all!!!

Thanks Karl. We don't know what we are doing, but we are doing alot of it, to make up for our lack of knowledge! (he he he) No. 7 is due in the spring. Arkansas has it's Jim Bob Dugger wannabees too!

I want to update my profile. Got the bandages off my finger, so typing is better. I want to place some sort of link, and a bit more info on the gray fuel hoses. It seems that there are a lot of "hold outs" that retain them, and eventually wonder why a piston burns out.

The weather here has been odd. Light rain today. Office work is planned.

Life is interesting. Gotta doo some more of it!

You have to enjoy the kids at a young age as they grow up fast. I have a 18 son and 15 year old daughter. My son will be off to college next year, so this might be his last year living home, unless he goes to a local college. The weather here is warmer here than we have seen in the past 12 years we have lived here. We had the air condition on yesterday as it was in the low 80's with high humidity. It would feel more like xmass with some cooler weather, but I'm not complaining. I might go jump some waves today or tomorrow.

Karl

That's good news on the fuel prices...but an early spring...that would be interesting, in early January.

Karl
