True, ill see how i go. Mostly ill be running on it up and down the river.
Ive got a bit of actual work to do this weekend which will limit my time on the boat. Id like to think by next weekend ill have all but the wake tower complete and that within the next few weeks

I knocked off work a little early and got into installing the seats, gauge pod and wiring the stereo

WOW! You don't mess around...when you get at it, you get at it! A little over three weeks and you've done an incredible amount of work already.

Boat already looks great, can't wait to see it completed. I've seen a number of resto projects on here, but I have to say...the boat you started with has to be the nicest I've seen at the start of a resto...that thing looked good to go, but I understand your like of projects and have to say you've done a great job so far! Again, looking forward to seeing the finished product...it's going to look great!

Thanks for all of the words of encouragement guys

Where did you mount the battery guard?
I was going to install it in the top left of the main electrical box but ive had problems with line noise in the past so instead I got a small weatherproof box and made an aluminium bracket to mount off one of the seat bolts

You do nice, clean work !!

So... what voltage does that monitor cut the radio?

Speaking of the radio... is it a boat unit? Does the face drop down to put CD's in? I don't like my boat radio, and I may want to change to that.

Its adjustable from 10.4 to 13.3V, ive set it to about 11.5 and ill see how it runs.

The fusion deck is really impressive, no CDs (CDs skip a lot in boats) but its directed at iPhone and iPod and other portable devices.
Its Ip rated for direct hosing and water resistance, heaps of inputs and 4 zones of independently controlled volume (it could run a 60ft boat and is a little over the top for the 14 footer but why get second best)
USB in the back for iphone 5 and the iphone 4 and all of the old apple products actually slide inside on cradles and seal away safely. I got the additional bluetooth streaming device so it will play from your pocket or dry storage. Im in love with it, it cranks with crisp bassy sound even without a sub or amp

Wow, looks great, funny to think this is a current winter project when it's 100 degrees outside where I'm at.

On that voltage, I had a 115 HP outboard motor that would start after the 10.5v alarm went off you've got plenty of room to adjust down your monitor.

Keep the updates coming, I love these project threads.

Ive had a very productive day, got the pipes bolted back in. I had to take the seats back out to polish between the seat and rear hatch- so i re polished the whole top hull.

I started on the Hydroturf just planning to do the inner floor, it was so precisely cut and so easy to install with the 3M sticky back I had the whole boat done in about an hour.

The colour of the red vinyl on the seats is a little light but theres isnt much i can do about it as there was only one option, If it really gets to me over time i could always get some vinyl paint and try to darken it a little but that will be a mission.

So... is it ready for a test drive??

Its ready to run, I did take it out a couple of times before the build. Both engines run great and it goes like a stabbed rabbit. Though i will replace the props with the solas 16.5/22.5's and check the wear rings some time soon

Geeeez, Wow that is some crazy resto work... Hummmm, Makes me want to tackle and finish my 'non seadoo' boat.
What a radical change!!!! I see what you mean for the paint. Maybe you could get just the driver area done. Don't think trying to get the seat darker will work, might make a big mess...
OK next weekend i'll start on the boat, Weather permitting.....

Thanks guys, there was a little hold up on the aluminium tube but it should have been picked up for bending and rolling today so next weekend should be the big fabrication job

My mate who is going to do all of the welding on the wake tower keeps getting paying jobs dropped on him right before the weekends so the tower has been put off until next week (hopefully).
We did get the boat in the workshop ready though, it will be easier to work on at low level so we slung it and rested it on the stands (we'll have it at ground level for the welding etc) and I got another mate to replace the 2 rusty cross rails in the trailer while I had the chance.

Hevyduty rig for such a little boat. (lol)

I had to do something like that also. My trailer needed to be weighed, and a little work done to get it registered. I just used a couple motorcycle jacks. Originally, I was going to use a hoist, but my straps were too short.

Finally the moment you've all been waiting for... We finally made a start on the Wake tower.

Where did you get the decals and seat covers?

Decals are genuine from Seadoo off the 07 speedster.
The seats were done custom by a marine motor trimmer that I use for everything. They did such an amazing job and one really good thing is they eliminated the seams between each seat base which was split and the orriginal reason I had to di the seats, hopefully that means they will last longer.

Looking good. what kind of work do they normally do in that shop? Kinda looks like a fire truck cab you are working around.
