Finally the moment you've all been waiting for... We finally made a start on the Wake tower.

Oh wow that KWopper cabover is awesome! I just had to Google for an image and can't believe that you guys still get NEW cabovers, just awesome. They are just a rare sight here anymore. That is a helluva Cattle catcher on the front too.

Oh, and the boat looks great too, great work.

RFoster- they are trucks for heavy haulage in general. Racerxxx you would love it at my mates workshop, they are pretty much full time doing custom KW modifications and add ons for new trucks (Hydraulics, tank add ons/splits for hyd oil, tool boxes, walkways, fuel truck parts, laser cut flashy bits etc) , with the odd love job like mine

Got the spacers all coved out and tacked

Cut and added in an extra brace out of the offcuts long arcs

Off the boat and ready for full welding

Tomorrow if i get some time ill make the bimni mount points and get them welded on and weld on the tow spool, then its off for polishing

Did you make it from aluminum tube? (cant tell) But, I'll assume yes, since the bottom fittings were aluminum. Regardless.... looks great.

I keep thinking of a tower, since my ski hole is so low on the Islandia. BUT... I would settle for a ski pole. I think in 2004 (and later) it was an option for my boat. BUT... I can't really find anything about it.

yeh 50mm 3mm thick ali, there are a lot of 63mm or 2 1/4" wake towers but i bought the foot mount kit and it was 50mm/2" so we went with that, it has a little bit of flex but really quite strong with the (afterthought) brace tubes

All I can really say is "Wow"..! You are doing a great job. Being a new owner of a seadoo boat myself you really make it look like I am not moving very fast on changes.

Keep up the pictures and good work. I do like watching your progress.

Dang I took 2 hours to remove the seat off my 97 Seadoo XP... in my defence there were 16 bolts and 2 clamps haha but you're doing great so far!

Just got the extra strips of rubber I needed to attach the bimni clamps as they were intended for 2 1/4" tube and did a test fit before it goes for polishing. I think it really complements the tower, not as big as i imagined it either which is good

this thing looks amazing! I just picked up a 95 for cheap cheap cheap. makes me want to spend some time/money to make it closer to this

OK that looks SWEET! Now I need to see a butt load of speakers on it, and some killer wake board racks on it. Oh and find one of the Seveylor Manta Rays

They bring good cash too, 2 days left and it's at $540!

Thanks!

I almost got some board racks laser cut but I can buy them cheaper and easier. Im in 2 minds about the speakers, the 4 I have in the hull are quite loud but the other option is to add a marine amplifier and either 2 or 4 pods on the tower.

As much fun as the manta looks they are illegal here due to all of the injuries caused from drops like the last video

Today at Seadoo I scored a ski rope (red) that my mate pulled out of someones pump on a ski, plenty long enough and besides the bit where it cut off is in perfect condition.

I also got a little carried away and bought a 2 person Evo2 tube and rope ready for summer!!

so i spent more money... but it was a bargain, scored this wakeboard rack on our version of Craigslist for half price and it was brand new in the packaging. It should look nice on the tower and it even has a cool quick release knob to remove it from the bracket

Boat looks killer! Where did you get the gunnel rail? And what kind of paint did u use on the plastics? I'm doing my 95 in black and lime green

The gunnel is genuine from Seadoo, they come quite long to suit any of the boats so you will end up with a fair but spare.
I painted the handles and trim bits with VHT vinyl paint in a spray can. The big sections in red were done at an auto body shop by pros with plastic primer, auto paint and clear coat

Sweet! That's what I needed to know
