It is awesome! It was sitting for 5 years in my parents basement. With the help/guidance from [MENTION=60330]AdamA96XP[/MENTION], I rebuilt the carbs and replaced the fuel lines. Brought it back to screaming life. I would like to find another longer more stable boat as I am not 22 anymore!

did a little check in the morning. took the spark plugs out. they are black oily, not sure if I saw a drop of water at the flange.
compression is 155/155PSI!

[MENTION=73778]bier9021[/MENTION] has a nice gsxl and he got it back running like new. It gave us a few fits but seems to be running like a top. The 99 is my favorite color scheme for the Gsx and the 951 will make it scream. It's way more stable than an X4 but still a blast to ride. Best all around hull Seadoo produced IMO

I like the way more stable part, appreciate the input I think that's what I need to be looking for to ride next year the GSX is considered to be part of the 9' hull lineup and the GT-GTI-GTX are 10' hulls across the board? For comparison sake something like a 96GSX 787 is basically the same ski sans the 951 motor?

I took the boat out today with loctite 518 all over the cone LoL.
It was a great "faster faster" and "no fish fishing" trip. The boat launch parking was totally packed because the good weather.
With yesterday's ski experience, boys are saying: dad, go faster!
With whole family on board I saw 38mph on the gauge!

I just washed the boat. Now the ski and boat are side by side in the garage. Will wake them up in 7 months. I will go through the SPX during the winter. Lots of pictures coming
Too late right now to fog them. Will do it during the day.
Best weekend of the summer: skiing on sat, boating on sun.
Any ideas for taking ski and boat with one Jeep Wrangler?

Well in your case a 14' boat and 8' ski behind the Jeep is nothing for overall length, it would be fairly simple to pull the issue is you're not backing that up ever so approaching intersections and turning off into parking area's needs to be done slow and with plenty of room ahead to turn everything.

overall total is about 18' + 12' = 30'. so not too bad.
Right, no way to back, so I need to be careful not running into tight corners and got stuck, then need to unhook them.
