Picked up a near mint 1997 XP, couple of questions

Yeah I know but you told someone in 2020 the light was an “idiot light” and where does someone even get this oil and how do you drain the tank, do you have to pump it out?
It is just a low level light.
Any full synthetic API-TC oil will work.
Full Synthetic Marine 2-Cycle Oil | Lucas Oil Products
You can always start with this one from O'Rilley then switch to the full synthetic when you can and you can mix them since they are the same brand.
Lucas Synthetic Blend Marine 2-Cycle Marine Oil 1 Gallon 10861 | O'Rei
Since it is already low just pull the hose at the little white filter and drain it out, the 97' XP has a lot of room to work so you are lucky.
You will need a new filter... Amazon.com

No, you need to find an oil that specifically states API-TC rated and a full synthetic, Semi-Synthetic will get you going but is not technically correct and will gum up the RAVE valves.
Take your pick, Seadoo, Amsoil, Lucas.
