I like the way this is shaping up! Yes I have buoys(I've never used yet) and will bring them.

With the short time we have I think the location will be fine. As long as there is a few other lakes to be able to go and explore then we won't feel trapped. I'm looking forward mostly to just meeting you fellow members and checking out/showing off Seadoos. With the buoys we can always have a little something going on in the "home pond" while another exploration mission is shaping up.

Im in if im home whats the date you guys settled on? I'd love for people to try superstock hx. Im leaving for the boat Monday and should be home January 10th.

Heck ya Dennis it's looking like the 19th. You can show me how the buoys go and the way around them (the first couple of times:seeya:)

not a problem looks like you get to try the hx out also

yip Dennis, we're good to go for the 19th, i was going to email you about it, also pm'd mark, i want to see that twin pipe in person, sending him a billet fuel selector to help finish off the "look".

ya that ski is wicked and that selector will look great on there.

It sounds like that twin piper is going to be posted up at Daytona at the Superfreak tent....one of the many reasons I want to do a day trip.

I am very appreciative for all the offers I have received from you guys...if anyone ever wants to come up for either of our freerides I will do whatever I can to help.

This is turning into a real Freeride of it's own. If we all agree on the location then I need to call the manager of the resort and make sure that they know what they are in for and are up for it. I know Spim called over there but not sure how much he revealed.

I'm down for any location, do u guys think we'll be able to get 2 rides in on saturday? or just 1? cause I'm not sure I'll be able to stay til sunday

:)

I didn't reveal anything. All I said Is I wanted a quote on a room, and that I had a group, and wanted to know if they had at least 5 rooms available, they offered me a bit of a discount, and I left it at that. so no, i didn't say,, i was going to bring 9 jet ski's :)

but at the time of the call, we really only had 5 "players" in the game. and from the overhead shot on google maps, its NOT a big lake, so i couldn't imagine myself hanging around the lake for long, probably just long enough to get everybody in the water and head out.

re: bouys,, that would be interesting, i've only done them once, have no idea what i'm doing, and i've got stock sponsons on my xp right now, so i'd be spinning out on the turns if I take them too hard, no record breaking times coming out of my runs :)

I'll be bringing two also. I must admit though that's what it's taken for me to get a good ride lately:banghead: (I locked up a 787 yesterday) Honestly though, I'll be pushing rides off on all of you.

Spim I want to keep searching then until we find a place that is worth your drive. What about closer to the Tampa area?

that sucks matt i have had many 787 engines lock up it happens and sucks but i only like to ride my skis no because if i was on someone else's ski and something happened i would feel responsible and pay for it to be fixed. but anyone can ride mine (hx or xp). i really wanna see the look on peoples face when they ride my hx. all i have to say is hold on lol

as for the place just let me know. i live here in mt. dora fl and we have a chain of lakes but we dont really have any gas pumps on the water. i just need to know where it is because i need to find out if i need to bring av gas for the hx or if i can get it local.

no no, Orlando location is a perfect central location. And trust me, i ride almost every weekend, and I only have two requirements for a good ride... Water and Gas. (and nothing breaks) so don't worry about the "quality" it will work out just fine.

also the junkies over on facebook gave me some good ride tips for the area, i planned on researching them tonight while watching MNF. Personally i'm excited !

nam.. i'm absolutely sure we can work in two rides on Saturday ! i'm thinking a nice 40ish mile ride, back for a late lunch, bull session, top off the tanks and head out for another ride. , those details we can work out over the next 30 days !

Ok seriously guys...you have to talk with the managers. You might end up with 50-75 skis on that beach. If its off season then we have a great chance of it not being an issue. We should also prob contact the water patrol and get a permit for a bouy course. Most states require them and they will give it to you without an issue usually and appreciate that you do so.

This is the only problem with it being on the forums is things get talked to death. These kind of semi organized meets need a few individuals to step up and make calls and decisions.

So someone take this thing by the nuts and make this thing a foundation for an event that can grow year in and year out.

Bouys never interested me till I tried it. Its fun esp when you have a whole group of guys to BS with.

Well...unless we have two nice wakeboard boats around to throw up a double up! But getting boats lined up is a complete PITA to make happen.

i think we're a long way away from a 50 ski event ! I was hoping for dozen

Its exactly what happens...esp if you spend a little time talking with people and really thinking over all logistic things. Its amazing what one can plan with very few hours of communication. Our Sortie started with 6 guys and in 3 years we had close to 100 out there. And when I say there I mean an island about a mile away from the launch. It was great once you were out there but logistically it was a nightmare.

curious if boats are cool? cause the guy I bought the parts hull off of is in lakeland, i told him we were getting together in jan, he seemed pretty interested, he has a speedster and asked if boats were cool? i told him the rest of the guys were bringing skiis, but I didn't see a problem with it, he has skiis too.
