They are on the water right now im assuming, thats where I would be, then hit the showers then grab some food and BEER then we will start getting some much anticipated updates. I want some 951 x4 pics

No i couldnt make it, We were planning on going to florida the last week in feb. As for any rides around here, i havent seen one but there are so many lakes here the possibilities are endless, but i think it would have to be near the bottom of the state, us being surrounded by water would make it difficult for people in other states to get here. I personaly drive north to go out, but im sure there is alot of people that ride south of me. I want to go to minnes sortie this year though.

Had a great day some good riding. Although we had No time to put buoys out it was a great day

The temps were in the low 70's, but the sun was hiding from us for most of the day. It was a bit breezy as well. There was a fair sized turnout..... Matt and his brother, 1995hx (Dennis) and his girlfriend, Brucetafer (Nick), Spim, Chuck, Mike, Nam and his future brother-in-law, my son Chris & 2 of his friends from college and I were all there. I don't think there were many pictures taken, but a couple of the people had GoPro's, so hopefully some videos will surface at some time. The XP W
was the machine of choice, but we had everything from the HX to a big 2012 4-Tek.

Spim mentioned that there was some talk of having a get together like this every couple months. If any of you northerner's are headed to Florida, let us know and we could try to coordinate the run around your trip.

so we had a great time out there, it was finally great meeting everybody in person, i was surprised to find out my twin turbo 96 spi was the fastest one out there. i was pleasantly surprised by the weather, the sun didn't really come out, but it could have been a lot a lot worse.

Twin turbo SPI??? WTF??? Are you serious??? Love the pics though...

Looks like you owned the beach.

Nice to see a GTI in the picture.

Who bought the 4 stroke?

Well I have just returned safely from the 800+ mile round trip drive. It was completely worth it! I loved meeting and riding with everybody even more than anticipated. I am very happy with my XP's performance. You guys know I tinker with them a lot and I'm happy to report that I was only overtaken by the two new four strokes, and not by a heck of a lot either. For those who were wondering about this Fl group of constant posters, so was I so here you go:

Spim- younger than expected (40ish looking) and very much at home on his 96XP. I was surprised at his cutting and carving with stock sponsons. He pulled off some 360's and found time for a stashed Michelob during some no wake zones. His room was the central spot we tended to do the BSing in. He was as fun to talk to in person as on the forums and I'm sure we will be riding again despite the fact that we live on the opposite ends of the state from one another.

Chuck- Spims riding buddy and engine mechanic. He shared lots of stories and tuning tips. The guy is like Sam Elliot cool. Only problem is that he is loving that big cumphy (boring) 4 stroke and he just might be spoiled.

Mike- Came with Spim, brought Chuck and the new 4-strokes. Super nice guy with nice stuff. He is also a regular rider with Spim down south. He and Chuck had a hankering to go chase women but we were able to get enough beers in them to keep them around the hotel telling stories both nights.

Dennis(95HX)- Wow. By far the most enthusiastic and craziest in the water. He brought his lovely lady but never missed a ride. He was the last one to load his ski up right at dark. His HX is an arm snapping little squirrely thing that he was right at home on. He even turned back to put on a show for some water-side restaurant eaters who were asking for it. He is all throttle all the time and can cut and carve that thing impressively.

El Toro- He was the taller fella there in the pic with me as I was putting my vest on. He brought lots skis and family and we just had a blast. He was rocking "the Buick" as Lou says (ninties GTI) at first and then switched to his newer GTI. Those larger hulls were looking like the answer for the choppy lake riding. His 96XP was not quite ready this time but was looking good.

Brucafer- His name is Nick in real life. He came by himself and had a nice 96XP. It was all stock but in great running order and it showed really well against the modded skis. He was wearing shorts and vest only out there but took the cold without complaint.

Nammer- Last but not least. He brought his friend Matt and two skis. He is smiley and enthusiastic as expected. His little SPI did fine keeping up with the heard and his stock 97 GSX that Matt rode was super fast! We have talked so much on these forums and on the phone that he felt like a long lost brother. He was super proud of his nice Tacoma that I got the full tour on. He is pretty darn good with wiring in cool add ons. He left hugging and smiling with both his skis showing well.

^ Sounds like a great GTG.

We need to see some go pro action soon
:drool5:

What was the deal on broken crank? Did it break the case?
