The deal was that he put a fresh top end on a tired crank. At first he thought it was the starter or battery but realized it was worse. I went in the hotel for a minute and came back out to find that Dennis already had the thing tore half apart. We knew bottom end for sure when he pulled the mag cover and we turned the flywheel back and forth. Hopefully the cases will be OK but it was not feeling good in there.

Ok on that its a lot worse than just a crank I tore it completely down tonight and found the crank completely trashed a bearing taking out the rv shaft the brass gear and gouging the cases badly. but the top end is perfect but not a good day for that 787

Told ya it didn't feel good in there. Don't part it man that's a good rec rider. We can trade around for the parts when you get back off the boat again. Get that crank from Chuck and I've got the rest. Or plan B- sell me all the goodies off it:coolgleam:

glad you made it back safely matt, I'm really glad you and your brother were able to make the trip down, great pleasure to put a face to the friendly voice on the phone, haha, love the recap of our members! I'll be way more proud of my truck when i slap the 20's on there (bling bling) don't worry they are polished, not chrome!

great times guys !!! i have some gopro vid's and i'll try to extract some still shots, but have family things to do at home tonight so i'll try to sneak in some time in the morning at work.

Figured out my speed (or lack of it) problem early this morning, Dennis happened to notice that my manual trim was set way down, but since I ride with faster ski's all the time I didn't notice. Adjusted it before the K river ride and it seems better now.. Thanks D !

we have a terrific Sunday ride on the Kissimmee River today as well, a good solid hour and a half of hard hard riding. I'll post some vids on that as well when the opportunity presents itself.

Sounds like a great weekend guys...lets plan on having the core weekend get together us out of towners can plan on next year on about the same date! I know I want to be at Daytona for the freeride on Saturday next year FOR SURE.

I heard that the Freeride was for standups and they don't even allow X4s. You, being in the industry, probably have other reasons for going.

Yes...I have tried and tried to get them to open it up to good X-4 riders, but they are big enough already they dont want or need another machine out there. Pole riders are kind of snobs like that...but if they let us then then some guy is gonna wanna bring his 4 stroke out there and bla bla bla...

You are correct it would mainly be to rub elbows with industry peeps and go party with them, check out the vendors, but also to watch some of the best freeriders in the world throw down. As long as I got to ride X-4s friday and sunday I'd be a happy guy.

Looks like it was awesome! I keep checking Google Maps to see how many lakes you can hit. It looks like you can ride for a decent distance which is awesome! I'm so jealous of you guys. Keep the pics rolling, the beach front parking is sweet.

I know I am! I was on the lake yesterday, but I was in 3 layers of clothes and a 17 ft flat bottom boat with a 40 hp Evinrude. Not exactly the thrill of a X-4.......

Yeah El toro's larger hulled skis are not exactly an X4 either. I was a little embarrassed when I went to help him load his skis. I was coming in at a 45 degree angle to his trailer bunks and thought I'd swing it on in there like I'm used to but ended up having to stick a wet shoe out to keep from banging his skis together.

well i had a freaking blast, and oh yeah spim, we won that game... maybe you should come up for a weekend we play the blades... free upfront tickets and a meet and greet with the players

everybody there was way cooler than me, and had a awesome time, i wish i was in better shape (physically)

matt was rocking a 6 pack washboard abs... nam with his crazy twin turbo spi... (thing FLEW) and of course dennis 1995HX was crazy as hell...

chuck, mike, all of them were just way cool... but the coolest of them all was 1995hx's girlfriend who was awesome enough to still smile with the blown XP (she was supposed to ride) and watched the glee marathon all saturday... didnt complain one bit!

anytime you guys wanna come party in orlando we can no problem!...

ok.. so , when's the next trip ? (doesn't have to be an overnighter, just a day trip is fine)

nam? tell us more about this ride spot with mangrove runs in your area....

I'd be happy arrange a peace River trip launching from Arcadia which is in range for most of us, but it needs to wait until the rainy season starts so the water levels are high enough. Its an excellent ride and good for all skill levels and types of ski's.

We could arrange a Kissimmee River Ride, but its not for inexperienced riders or anybody remotely afraid of Gators, no double riders suggested either, you do NOT want to fall off in this river. We might have to organize two groups for that, its best to ride it with groups of 5 or less, its quite narrow in spots. and again, would be better after spring.

That....is awesome and frankly as scary as heck at the same time. I can't even swim so I much prefer to stay on top of the water
as it is but that's some pretty incredible incentive. Moves the heart rate up!

I'm up for any 1 day ride anywhere from Tampa to Arcadia in April from the 11th to the 15th. if the 15th then it MUST be in Tampa area.
