That view looks great!!! You guys make me jealous being able to hit the water in Jan. i have a question, what the hell happened to AnthonyGrato? Seemed like he was a big supporter of this and sounded like he was in for sure. I never saw anything about him dropping out.

I was just PM'ing with him, I'm sure he'll chime in. He thanked me noticing that he was missing, as well as you noticed too.

Lake Roy Beach Inn
1823 Cypress Gardens Blvd.
Winter Haven, FL 33884
Ph 863.324.6320

Early Friday afternoon at least 5 of Us should be at the Inn...4 rooms that I'm aware of... I should make it there by 2pm at the latest, with plans to check in, launch, and scout out the first lake or 3.

Saturday I'd suggest a 10:30 meet up at same location, with plans to hit the water by 11, ride for 1.5 to 2 hours, return to the lake for a late lunch, snacks and fuel top off, then proceed from there as we see fit, either do the same run, set up some bouys, stay near lake roy, whatever....

Its not the preferred method, but we're kind of winging it as far as the actual ride path is concerned, bring GPS if you have one, camera's, extra gas, snacks and liquid beverages. Make sure ski is topped off, battery is charged, and hope for nice clear weather, it might be nippier than we first thought but IMO we're riding in anything except heavy lightening. If anybody has a nice map or can print one please bring it.

Is anybody else staying at the Inn ? (Spim, Matt, Dennis, Chuck & Mike) All have rooms for Friday that I know of. As of right now i have one extra bed but i've invited a couple people to join me but as of now its still available.

At water's edge I think we'll be pretty easy to spot, we'll all be near a seadoo :) so if you're there Friday and can't find anybody, head towards the "beach" and we all can make an effort to look out for guys, make introductions and have some fun, if nobody is at the beach, look for a group of troublemakers in the bar/restaurant, don't be shy. A few of you have my phone # so we can track each other down that was as well, if anybody wants my #, just shoot me a PM.

Please remember that a few of us are staying at the Inn saturday night as well so please don'e do anything to wear out our welcome early on Saturday by buzzing the beach, doing doughnuts around the no wake sign, and generally being an idiot, one goofball can ruin the fun for a bunch of us so don't be the goofball and if someone becomes one, tell him to tone it down :)

On Sunday, my group plans to head south to the Kissimmee river,

1 Locks Access Rd
Lorida, FL 33857

maybe for a noon launch and 45 miles of dodging gators during some nice twisty runs. Launch time is not set in stone there, if we're having a great time in WH we might just ride there in the morning, or we might be so hung over we just don't care.

I haven't checked but I assume water levels are good on the K, I need to look into that.

I won't be making it Friday but will plan on being there by 10am Saturday. There is a ski show at Legoland we could watch at 1pm. There's one at 3 also. At Frank & Manny's Harborside restaurant I think there will be a demo of those water jet packs. Not sure the name of them, but it would be cool to see. I was told the demo is usually at 5pm.

Thanks Jetskigoodies For noticing I was missing.
Ive been straight out between work helping out friends and family. I was hoping I would still be making the trip But, with all thats going on I cant. Sorry Im going to miss out on some serious fun. I am going to try to make the trip down before the winter is over. I also want to know where the next meet and greet will be.
I dont ever turn down friends family or paying work! I have made a Chit load of Mad Money to buy a couple more skis in the last two weeks tho!

I am still here just in the back round with the cell phone while all this work is available im taking it.
Sorry guys I think Im out this trip has anyone planed another one yet?

Anthony I hope to see another get together next year the same weekend as the daytona freeride. I will be there next year, hopefully with my own ski and a few others headed to Daytona.

I still want to go down but, this weekend is out of the question.
Is there one planned for your area?

Minne's area might be a minute, the lakes here havent frozen yet but soon. Heck Nick get a polarbear free ride going. Just need a couple dry suits and maybe a ice breaker lol

I guess you can just use a jetski as an ice breaker.

Absolutely. It isnt specifically a Seadoo get together, but there will be plenty on hand. I have spread the X-4 fever the last few years and the stand up guys couldnt believe the X-4 army we had last year.

The Dells Freeride (wisconsin dells) is May31-june2. Not as much wake jumping, but an AMAZING area to explore, bouys on hand, and the resort offers cabins, RV space, and camping. 5mins from the main dells area if your family wants a waterpark hotel. Also a bar/restaurant on site. I help with some logistics, but a buddy of mine runs it. Only downside is the riding isnt watchable from the resort, you have to drive around the corner to get out of the no wake zone.

The "Sortie" is the one I "run" and it is in Lake City, MN Aug 23-25. Wake jumping opportunities are endless as long as it is sunny. We also setup a nice Bouy course as well as AMAZING exploring...dare I say better than the dells. The downfall to our location is it is camping only onsite. Hotels 3-5mins away. Also no food/bar onsite. I really like that about the dells, but our views from the campsite are 2nd to none, and you can watch riding from the shore or the "bluff" which is awesome.

Isn't one of your double video's from the sortie that you set up? That looks like a trip to make. How warm does the water get there?

yup the one with the "i just wanna ride my jetski" song is lake city. All my other vids are from Minnetonka, and that one from TX.

Both are awesome, but the Dells is a little for "user friendly" for a long drive having cabins and onsite food. Lake City is awesome, but logistically not as easy. Gotta have camping gear to get the real experience...lodging off site is kind of lame.

Hoping to find a new venue for 2014, but 2013 is at Lake City for sure. Click on my TCJP in my signature for more info.

I just watched several videos that JSG posted. How does one make a snowmobile stay on top of the water. IS it just the fast speed of the track that keeps it from sinking?

The other videos were actual jetskis, Here is a video where it was a snowmobile, and yes it is just the speed, once they get on plane the track keeps it moving but if you slow.......

my xp is finally fix thanks chuck for getting me the parts so fast I owe u big time

Man you smoked the heck out of that other ski about 2/3 way through the film. He came up on your back right but couldn't hang.

Just told the employees not to come in to work this morning. This is the slow time of year for tree service and we had gaps in the schedule. Now I'm going home to the cold rainy lake and will not quit until I have a second X4 that I feel great about.

LOL well since were posting sled vids... I watch this one about 10 times a year and it never gets old.

What a dipstick, if you notice at the very beginning of the vid there is a person to the left, a very smooth non-tree infested crossing.
