It's gonna take me at least eight hours one way. I need to change the same 6 cd's that have been back there in the changer for like two years! I also need to find out why my XP800 is mis-firing up top now.

I think I may be causing rectifier/regulators to go out from not pulling a lead when I charge batteries!?! It is only missing when it warms up.

Since I don't know crap about these lakes, I'm hoping to get there early enough on Friday to maybe take a spin thru a few of them just to scout things out... has anybody been on this lake chain before ?

is it like bouncing the revs almost like the rev limiter is lower?

Glad to have you back safe Nam! Were gonna have some fun. Let me know if there is any little odds and ends that I can bring that may improve your skis.

hey matt, to take you up on this, if you happen to have any of these parts, it would greatly be appreciated, a rave valve spring, just the spring for a 1996 gsx, and the attachment that goes to the tilt on the same 96 gsx (pictured)

and my question on carbs are does this attachment on my index finger just snap off? It looks like it does, but I don't wanta break it, I tend the break things :(

also does anybody need any random things from a 94 xp, things like gas tank, oil tank, front and rear tow hooks, random nuts and bolts... if anybody wants any of that stuff it's free as well

cool thanks minnetonka4me, I'm in no rush, it won't be for the meet, it's the one i'm workin on, how much did you want for those 2 parts?

$20 shipped for both...if you have anymore small stuff you need there would be plenty of room in the bubble mailer.

My XP800 just misses once every couple of seconds at WOT. I have had rectifiers fail me a lot and so far it's not missing that bad. I still hope that is what it is. I'm gonna have to take an afternoon off (in addition to taking Fri off). I have my race skis to ride for the first time too. Maybe I'll just load one of those if it feels good. Or maybe I'll just grab a complete greybox with key and rear black box for the road...I don't know.

Nam I do have those parts laying around but hate to cost Minne a sale, especially when he is being so reasonable about it.

ok I have one question about the buoy course. are we gonna make people wear helmets or no I know I always wear mine i have a extra but if no one else is gonna wear them i wont bring it. also my girlfriend said she will course marshall just in case someone falls off

Its all you matt...The GSX are longer than XPs though.

Matt...keep it simple. Try new plugs. Clip the wires back. You never know till you try it.

I did put new plugs in, I've clipped the wires back recently. I can see the TTO blip with the miss so I feel like it's behind the plug leads somewhere. It didn't start until a rode it for 10 minutes. If it's not the rectifier then it should be the coil.

Ok bottom of the coil/grounds clean, make sure the connectors are too. The warming up thing sounds pickup related but who knows.

One other thing off the top of my head...the connector on top of the rear ebox. make sure those pins are nice and clean too.

Will do, thanks for the thoughts. I have those GSX trim rods cause I bought a couple cheap to get the 787's out of them. Nam bring whatever hardware you think you won't need and well trade.

behind the 951 twin piped hx on my b-day I need to figue out how to get the water to bead off the goPro and stop it from fogging up

put Rain-x on a rag nice and heavy and let it sit on the lens overnight. Do it a couple times right away, then redo once a month.
