Nice, at least you got the good color combo! Don't forget with big blocks come big pockets, but they do sound damn good smokin' my doors. One time I just about had a heart attack, this cat came out of nowhere and was about 30' off my port side doing about 75 with twin bigs. My Speedster was pasted and he walked me like I was trolling, my kid screamed so loud, we had no idea he was coming. It was cool as all get out with his nice twin rooster tails.
My buddy has a mid 90's Baja with twin 502's either a 28 or 32 footer. That's a lot o' glass to be moving. He put a new 502 in two years ago, another one last year and it never saw the drink this season-- zero hours on a brand new crate motor. New lower unit on one of the drives. After watching him f' with that, I'll stick to my two strokers way cheaper. For those two engines I could pick up ten or twelve 99' Speedsters at $1500. These little boats are great I love running the inland waterways down the shore, nothing beats cranking the wick up and carving through the canals. If I ever move on it will be to a Mastercraft X series, Malibu, Moomba or the like, I love a low slung boat. Something that looks fast just sitting still.
