i got the wear ring replaced on my 97 gsx, and now it FLIES, super fast ski, my spi can't touch it, it's funny, before the wear ring was done, 2 people on the spi will beat 1 person on the gsx.

good to hear that solved the problem.

what waterways are you riding up there ?

That's what I'm talking about Nam! Now your Doo'in it. Amazing isn't it.

yea it's super fun, i am very impressed, the hull on the spi is much more fun though, so I can see why everybody loves the x4 hull with the 787.

this is where I launched, and the water was so low, i can't even believe it, there was one spot that i had to go through that was like 1.5 feet deep, and it was getting barnacles and shells sucked in my ski, i had to cut it off and push it through, and also even out in the bay, there were places with so many weeds and vegetation, it did the same thing

nice... I had a fun time today, had a buyer for one of my ski's for sale, he took it out for a 2 minute water test and came back and said he got scared.... no sale... how many millions of people in this state and I get the one that wears panties ?

guy is a retard, if it scares him, that means it runs right

Too bad it didn't have one of those threaded throttle stops like my kids little 4-wheeler. You could have dialed it in for him.

There will not be a cleaner ski like this anywhere on the net. The 1997 SeaDoo SPX is basically the exact same ski as the now famous 1996 SD XP. In 1997 they took the '96 XP, changed some colors and renamed it the SPX. In 1997 they came out with a new XP that was a total flop. It has the same Race proven X-4 hull and power valve 800CC 2 stroke engine that made the '96 XP so famous. If you don't want the 4 stroke 1000 pound monsters available today then this is for you. This ski is light weight with a great power to weight ratio and it handles on a dime. This ski will out handle ANY current year ski. Today they pack in a lot of power but they add a ton of weight and complexity that takes away all the fun. If you are like me and want lightweight, super quick acceleration and nimble handling then this is the ski for you. It will do around 60 top speed and get there in a hurry. All options work including electronic trim adjustment, Tach and fuel guage. The ski has Hydroturf mats and is sitting on a continental trailer. I have a cover for it that is brand new but it is not for this ski. It does fit it well and is a top of the line cover. I used to race these skis back in the late 90's so I decided that I wanted to get another one. Earlier this year I found this ski that had been sitting since 2007 inside a garage and it had been babied since new. Because it sat so long the engine was frozen. I purchased it and had the engine rebuilt and the entire ski gone through. The ski was 100% stock when I bought it and I kept it in that same state so everything is as it was when it left the showroom floor (nice and reliable). The engine has less then 1 hour of break in time on it. When the engine was out the carbs were gone through, the fuel tank cleaned out as well as the oil tank and all fuel hoses were replaced. It also has a brand new battery in it. This ski is in EXCELLENT condition and you will not find another one cleaner inside and out anywhere on the net . I purchased this for myself and had every intention of keeping it for the long term but infortunately one of my dogs got sick and that required several thousands of dollars in surgery that I could not afford so my loss will be your gain. Price is $2500.00 OBO and I can give a water test if need be althought the new time change will make that difficult during the week in the evenings. I am listing this in other markets so the ad may be removed at any time. Must be seen to be appreciated.

This should keep the pansies away

Well it's plenty clean. He also has a well written add with an accurate description of what I know to be true. None of that removes the fact that he is terribly overpriced. Sorry about his misfortune though.

yip, i noticed the price after reading the whole thing... but honestly its a very nice writeup, although I wouldn't mind a hard return or two, i hate reading run-on paragraphs.

There is only one guy I know off down there who is capable of putting together such a craft. His name is Chuck and I'm very disappointed to see that he is getting rid of it. Hopefully it is because it is just done and he wants to build another one. As near as I can figure that is the guy that gives(or gave at this point) Spim his mechanical side.

This is a sad day for me to see a good friend selling his pride and joy I have personally rode this ski its worth every penny. it rips Plain and simple nothing else to say about it. Everything you would want in a x4 and then some.

yes, and yes, he threw it out there for what he thought was a fair price, just to see if he get's any bites, he has his old 93 hull and a 951 ready to drop in and is ready to build a new one. so he isn't listing it out of necessity, just out of curiosity to see what the market will bear. Basically he told me there's nothing left to do with the ski and he wants a new project.

i'm tempted to try and sell mine for 2500 and buy his ! but i'd probably kill myself riding that dam thing, i'll be honest, its beyond my riding ability, i'm too old and slow for this thing.and yes it rips.. i've actually only seen two ski's beat him out of the hole, and both of those machines had over 15K invested. and yes, he's my tech, my tuner, I take stuff apart, he puts it together.

Dennis ? you serious about that UMI ? If you are you've got dib's on it... but I had a couple of guys interested and I told them that I already had somebody. Let me know buddy.
