tried looking at the gtx but no answer, im only 20 mins from him... obviously id want the title but leaking engine?? no biggie?? and a 951? eh... seems a little pricey for me....

Both those deals seem doable. I'm going to scope the scene up here and see if I can flush one out.
I'm glad you are up and running Nam. I'm also happy the guy is looking into the 97 too because the SPI sounded like a simple fix. I'm glad you found someone honest to trade with.

yea he's a really nice guy, i actually met him when he bought my old trailer, and I kept his contact info cause he worked on jet skiis on the side, so it wasn't a random craigslist guy, but I rode it for about 2 hours so far, and works perfect

Sounds like a deal

Great pair of Sea Doo skis for sale.

1997 SPX - all stock. 787cc 110 horsepower engine. Good for 58.x mph (tried and true on GPS). The seat's a bit faded but it's the very rare HUMP seat from the 1995 XP800. These are more comfortable for the x4 hull. Ski has black gauge pod cover to stand it out, and the hood has been painted and clear coated. No fading on the hood and matches the ski perfectly! The seat likely needs to be recovered, as there are marks I just can't get out. It's still the super rare XP800 foam + seat, and recovering costs around $40 (or $25 if you can do it yourself and buy the vinyl off Ebay. Maybe even go Black?) Fitted for pre-mix. No VTS, gauges don't work. Brand new Battery! $900

1996 XP - Stock 787cc 110 horsepower engine. Has R&D Intake Grate. R&D Nozzle 88/85. SOLAS Impeller. As she sits she will do 60.x mph on the GPS. Has Black Hood w/ Yellow Gauge Cover, Black Handlebar Cover. Looks SLICK! Runs pre-mix, no more oil pump. Needs a new wear ring, which I have purchased currently. If you're handy, good way to get a great ski for a discount. Has black sport seat cover on the XP800 hump seat. Nice seat! The Multi Info gauge works, the others do not. VTS does not work. Brand new battery! $1200

Each ski comes with a life jacket, flush kit, emergency kit. Also includes the pre-mix bottle to measure your oil.

2 ski trailer. Not the greatest looking trailer but it does the job and it does it well. Lights work. Bearings are in good order. Bunks are in adequate shape and the wheel is fine. $400, or $250 if you buy with one of the skis above. Will also trade for TWO single trailers in similar condition with working lights.

I'll do all 3 combined for $2300. I can arrange delivery to Miami for TRULY interested parties for the cost of my gas.

No pun intended.

Yup copy(highlight ad) then I drag it into desktop screen.
That gives a clip that I drag back into reply box.
I'll have to try it on a work computer with windows but I think its just easier w/mac.

I agree I don't like typing and stupid spell check on iPad on the forums.

Little Harbor is the place to be. I have a buddy that lives over there.

i wouldn't say place to be, but pretty decent scenery for skiis, other than the really small storage space. If you ever come down this way and bring your skiis, let me know.

Sounds great, will do. We always get a bite to eat over there. The food is awesome.

spim, http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/3233735248.html

she said they took it to barneys and it has blown motor, would be nice to jew them down, and use the core

thats a pretty good one there, but it depends on how far they'd go down, at $850 vs. $500 offer.
but yip but its still $500 or less as is for any buyer, hard to make a drive for it unless its expected to pan out, but not a bad ski when running and when running that model will sell for 2K all day long on a bad day, i really wish i hadn't clicked that link... now i want it lol i have 3 951 projects going and right now I have everything I need core wise but honestly if I didn't have them backlogged i'd probably be driving up there to try and get it.

He out right told us it was sunk years ago(stay away). I offered $300 on that same model last night with trailer and one blown cylinder and they are thinking about it. Old dead Doos are not worth much(check out my 93 SPX with trailer for $700 on Okaloosa CL). I feel like I can't even give away a good running ski around here. Luckily I've learned to pass that on when I buy.

yea you're prob right, the story was that 2 years ago in the keys, he tied it to a dock, the tide went down, then went up, and the ski was trapped under the dock, and sat overnight. I was thinkin if I offered $400 and spent a few hundred in electronics it should be good to go?

The only way for you to win on that ski is to turn your head awat right now and never ever think of it again. Salt sunk=TOAST!! eg. Two days ago a guy said I could come get a GTX with the motor still in it for $50! I thought"how can I loose?" Well I did. Every bolt broke, I couldn't use the engine parts, the pump, grey box had been gutted. It was a big mistake and a waste of a day and fuel and now I got a huge new yard turd to pass off.

i will take your advice, thanks, and now lets see pics of your $50 GTX!!! what year? and title?

OK, just to give you guys a laugh. It is a testament to me being a man of my word that I went through with the deal. I didn't mention that I drove through a tropical storm to get there. The worst part is that I had to spill a nice 96XP off a single trailer to go get it and ended up putting the first little scratch on it when I went to load it back up:banghead:
