why would the rain stop u ur going to get wet anyhow?
I got a chance at my first 951 deal. It's a 98 GSXL. It's that red and grey one. It's complete and locked up. He has a battery and a programmed key so all the gauges light up and he just gets the click. It had a cover so it's not bad looking. I offered $500 and he is at $600 so it might happen.
I'm not trying to hide the add from you guys I just couldn't get the whole thing to attach.
I think that was the first year with the white motor.
Sure man, look in Mobile cl under sea doo(must have space in it). The guy said he would take the 5 if I drove over there to Mobile. He will bring it two hours this way to my neighboring town for the 6. He sounds like a service member so I kinda hate hammering on him with my lowballness. What I really want is racing X4 stuff. So you can have the deal if you want it, just help me hunt for the old racers.
You know how this used stuff can go Spim. Don't check the title, but the last two on the VIN plate to be sure. Even then, maybe they were good with a rivet gun?
On of these first GSXL models has a great pump in it for X4 racers. They call it a"poor man's Skat). I think it's the last of the 140mm pumps. Anyway, that is my main attraction to those red money pits.
They do OCOD. All except the one mid-year version I heard of. That's what makes that pump such a rare beast. More than one person has said right away "watch out for one of those pumps" when we were talking X4's without me even bringing up pumps.
I'm suddenly more interested now. And that also explains the color difference with Spims. Maybe I'll pick it up and part it back out for my cash back. Looks like a good pump and a 951 core for my trouble.
ya, i had the wife check the vin mine looks like this.. (stock image, mine is UGLY)
yours looks like this...
so maybe thats the difference 98 vs 97.5....
if thats correct, post it up, just for curiosity sake I like to learn this stuff
edit... oh golly wiz,i need more coffee...
