well, after 15 days of negotiations, i finally ended up with these two, brought them home this morning and cleaned them up, will start with the GTX see if I can get it running w/o major overhaul, the rx will become a carbed 951.

<<, looking for 951 cores ! or even better a 951 with a crap hull, title not needed, I need a complete engine and lots of parts, a broken down hull is the best way.

also looking for a gp1200 non powervalve crank and 1200 borable cyl's as well.

if from sarasota to miami, if you stumble across a gtxl complete ski, electronics & motor, but beat up hull, no title, no trailer, etc, please post it up for me ! It would be semi-ok if the engine is a core but i'd love to get a complete engine with good cases at a minimum., and it needs to have functional mpem

unfortunate consequence of scouring CL every day

i'm lucky, my nieghbor only stays in his house a couple of months a year, has an empty 3 car garage for 10 months that I rent from him, so I can park all 4 ski's on 3 trailers inside and safe and I can tinker over there, clean, polish, etc, when I want to do actual work, it takes about 3 minutes round trip to back the car out of the driveway, into his, hook up the trailer and drive 80 feet back to my garage.

its a sweet deal and it keeps the wife happy, since she gets to park inside.

She only has one jetski rule,,, it must not interfere with her ability to park inside the garage ! as long as I abide by that rule, then she's ok with whatever I do. I have until about mid november to finish all these projects, neighbor comes back then.. the clock is ticking !

A little of both. My employee is interested in fixing the GTX up for himself, so that would offset the purchase a little right away..

How would someone bend a driveshaft on one of those? I would assume maybe motor mounts are shot, or could the bearings in the pump fail and cause one to bend?

Guys on the oil threads have been pointing toward Mystic. It is suspiciously cheap but seems to be working for folks. As far as where to get it, well google is king(as Spim says).

Those are a couple sweet 96XP deals you kicked up. If they were in my neck of FL then I would add them to the pile.

thats what I did for at least a year., but not every wally world had it in stock all the time, and I got tired of driving around.

recently switched to amsoil online, with temporary preferred membership its $131 a case delivered to the door.

the quicksilver syn has a black bottle, pink label.

got tired of that crap, amsoil is so much easier, order on Wed, its at your door on Friday.
I ordered two cases just mid july, we split it up between 3 guys
