I just got back from Keavy, KY. I didn't buy the boat, it's a good deal but not a steal. The hull was in great condition, not a mark or scratch anywhere. However the whole interior needs replacing and probably need to replace one motor. The motor had compression of 30 and 80 psi, surprisingly the motor would start and run, but considering it was the original engine and the other (new) engine was replaced last year I figured the motor would need to be replaced.

So the boat was $ 1,800 plus $1500 to 1600, plus with all the work probably wouldn't be lake ready this summer. I would have been a great winter project. Here's the link in case anyone else in interested.

You did good Lou.
That would been a work in progress in which something else would of come up needing nothing for the time and money you would of had to spend on that one :hat:

Guys,

I decided to change my avatar for a day so I can have a larger boat than Tony. Sheridan will be back tomorrow.

Lou

Look like seadoobuddy is layin low today since missin the low compression on Tony's new boat. Probably out buyin a new compression gauge.

avatar looks the same there lou, ah, thats sheridans twin sister ????

Well Griz to tell the truth I only changed it for a few hours. I decided that I missed Sheridan. Here's what I had on (heh, heh).

I've watched a ton of this guy's videos ... he definatley knows how to sell boats! That is one cool boat though

Steve Tillman..LOL. He always has tons of Sea Doo boats for sale. I actually was interested in a 20 ft speedster he had last year. His videos are pretty nice for checking out the boats.

Hey Griz,

I saw that post you made about Appalachian Technician, I've been using it trying to get a rise out of Tony, so far he hasn't said anything.

Lou

I've been doing some pondering about the term Dr Honda used earlier today. I've been thinking that like it or not we are living in a politically correct society, so I have been thinking of a more correct term that Tony could use instead of Hillbilly Mechanic.

Griz has already suggest Appalachian Technician which is great but I thought I would add a few more. Mountain Mechanic, Redneck Wrench Turner, Shade Tree Mechanic, Tennessee Technician. Lets help Tony out so he can become more politically correct.

Lou

I publicly apologize about my comment about a "Hillbilly".

Please come up with the politically correct term... and I will use it.

I will be the scape goat, but I know allot of y'all have called a mechanic this: THIEF

I apologize if anyone is offended...
Lou, I like Tennessee Technician....LoL
