HAHAHA jake... arent you the funny one these days!! now you're messn with me...lol its all in good fun.... guess, 'wallstreet' aint the worst monicker to go buy, although it is the farthest name to associate me with. at least its not nasty or sarcastic.... too much. just FYI, will post some pics of my sound system in other thread; its almost done... SDS gave me some wiring pointers since my diagram is different than what i SEE under the console. but if one of you nice fellas wanna help... please do. lookin for a wire pair that is not always ON regardless of 'key' being connected. have only fuel gauge, there are a number of wire pairs to nowhere tucked inside to the right of the console. thanks..

by the way... thanks for all the help, all you guys, so i wouldnt blow our car to smithereens!! have our eyes on a gorgeous 2002 mint cond. explorer.... neighbor wants to get small car instead.... sell to us for 4500!!! switchable 2/4 wheel drive... fully loaded, 120k miles, original owner mostly highway miles as they are from MASS. has tow package and all!! that'll do the trick! have 2 months to scrape together 2500 for deposit to him, then, we can take it and he will let us make monthly, no interest payments to him untill the balance is paid off. ,,, think thats a great deal. will gladly take and accept any donations (we have a paypal acct) no matter how small to help get us there. (see... i really am NOT wallstreet).

Allright Wallstreet! now yur talkin tow vehicle. We is anxious to hear how the boat does when you finally get er in the water. better get some stabil in yur gas if it ain't already.

thanks Jake! gonna take her out monday for her...(i KNOW i am gonna hear all kinds of stupid shit) .. for her maiden voyage!! installed nice Jensen Marine stere w/sirius ability, dont need it, but better than that, it has NOAA stations... ran it directly to battery switch, 200watt system, 4 marine weather proof BOSS 6.5" 2 way speakers... will post pics after i upload em. thanks guys..especially SDB who gave me the 'idea' to run it direct to the battery instead of worrying about or looking for a spare line.... gotta run.. time to hit the auctions we go to every week... later folks!

guitarjsm - I don't remember that tip but thanks anyways.
Auctions???? We would like to go to one. where is the one that you attend?

Lou, You're right.
Calling all Lakeland reporters, El Toro, etc. Take a video of the launching and post it on the SDB network news thread. Maybe even a self taken video by Guiarjsm himself?????.

You have 5 days to charge up those batteries.....better bring extra vid cards along in case this gets complicated......LOL.... :)

better to do the filming from hiding in the bushes. not fair to put all that added pressure on Wallstreet launching his boat fer the first time with the whole world watchin on u-tube. Wallstreet, dont forget to take out the drain plugs in case any water get splashed into the boat it can run right out the drains. and be sure to have the wife standing behind the boat directing ya, That always HELPS (LOL). last year I was parking my boat under the pine trees for the winter and the wife directed me right into a tree. only damage was her black eye.

OK sorry for getting off the winch/wench topic.
But I found this on the website of a local yard mower company.
Wiengartz has a few stores and are widely known around here.
Something to think about. What about our skis...should we up the octane too?

Q.
What kind of fuel do you recommend that I put into my gas-powered leaf blower?
A.
For years, we recommended standard unleaded gas for all of our equipment, but recent changes in the gasoline that we get at the pump have changed that recommendation. Now we recommend using 89 octane or greater in all small engines, especially two-cycle engines. Rising levels of ethanol in fuel can cause problems for carbureted engines (while most automobile engines are fuel-injected, almost all power equipment engines are carbureted). One way to combat these issues is by using a higher octane fuel. Also, make certain to use properly rated two-cycle oil per your operator's manual in all two-cycle equipment.

Griz ole buddy, he is talking about lawn mowers not seadoos.

At least I didn't forget to put my plug wires on the plugs before trying to start it...who hit what pipe? :) :)

Who in their right mind wants to get oil all over the inside of the hull. OH, that's right ...you do.

No need for name calling.....because of someone else you had to change your ID once already.

u really are a stupid sob, arent u, i left them off, to get oil everywhere, just like u do when u overhaul any motor, if u ever really work on a ski or an engine, u would know that, guess everyone else realized that except for u, mr goodwrench

SDB in trying to be funny and posting SBD world news on someone elses thread is not cool.
Also if you know Griz model he primes his fuel/oil lines before putting spark to engine.

Just a word of caution, the '02 Explorer is bascially a time bomb waiting to go off. I purchased one for my son when he was going to college, two years old with a little warranty left. Well it made it through the warranty period and self-destructed; four wheel bearings, brakes every 12 months, new rear differential, four wheel drive module, and finally the transmission. Do your self a favor and do a little research on the '02 Explorers. Oh, forgot the power window controls and door lock solenoid. I was a devoted Ford man for years until we bought that POS, love my Nissan. But the damn thing got 17-19 MPG on the highway!!

just came in from pouring fresh oil in the bottom of my hull, I do it every year to prevent mildew growth. whats all this about SDB hittin his head on a pipe? IS he ok, need to go to the hospital or anything? Geeze, I put wallstreet in charge of watching him so he didn't hurt himself and apparently SDB is more than one person can handle.

I think SDB and Griz were having a war of words and SDB ran out of ammunition, or something like that........
