Two pumps on the throttle and starts right up, I have never used the choke.
If it’s that cold out… I’m not going (Southern California Sissy). Most of last week it was in the 90s!

Yeah it may not necessarily be something that plagues the boats. My little XP before the primer wasn't terribly hard to start, but now a couple pumps of the primer and it fires right off.

I got a little more accomplished this weekend.

Completely stripped and buffed out on one side

New Grey matallic pin striping to match all the newly painted parts

Swim platform turf installed

New updated BRP emblems

As far as money goes, I have 8500 wrapped up into the boat thats including the price of the boat and cover

As far as hours I have about 60-70 hours wrapped up in it. By the time its done Ill have close to 80

Looking Great! Almost as nice as the day in 1999/2000 the first owner put it in the water.

What is your break-in procedure going to be?

Break in went perfect yesterday! Ran really smooth and now i just need to make a couple minor carb adjustments.

Replaced the bunks before loading her back up

Cleaned it all up when I got home so here is the finished product so far. I am waiting on decals and it will be 10% done!

I ride it normally, but fluxuate the throttle position for the first hour or so. Towards the end of the first hour I do a couple short bursts of max rpm. When I say short I mean 3-5 seconds

The rings rely on the compression to expand them, and the sharp edges of the crosscut honing job will seat the rings. This happens better above 1/2 throttle when the clyinder pressures are higher and exerting more outward force on the top ring.

I also add a little bit of oil to my fuel but not too much as over oiling will not let the rings seat. Since its a whole new bottom end, the boat won't see any long runs of max rpm's for another 4 hours.

After the first initial hour I also re-torque all of my exhaust bolts and check the system while running in the water for any leaks.
