Two are for the boat, one is a race motor from Rossier, one is for a buddies gsx and two are for a couple skis I'm flipping lol

Back on the boat today!

I forgot to mention in the previous post that the leaky welch plugs were repaired.

I got the extremely nasty engine bay cleaned up and got the engines in.

Next I preformed the alignment. As racerxxx stated in the beginning of this post, even though both motors were put in their original places with the original mounting brackets the alignment was wayyyyy off. I got both down to butter and couldnt be happier.

Next I drained all the old gas and replaced the level sensor.

Completed assembly! They came out awesome and cant wait to crank them over tomorrow.

Looks FANTASTIC. I love the stock look. Isn't it amazing how far off they were from the factory. Just proof that you must align any engine install. I'm doing an engine removal and install on a 99 GTXL and the carbon seal looked out of alignment and low and behold it was out of alignment after a quick check before removal.

Well I filled the oil tank up along with 26 gallons of fresh gas followed by 2oz of oil per gallon of gas for break in. FIRED RIGHT UP!

Stripped the rest of the interior

Started upholstering the seats this weekend as well. I finished the bow and a couple pieces of the rear. I set the new oem captain seats in just to get a idea of how its going to look as well. It looking good!

Traced out all of my graphics last night so that pwc graphics (Same company who does all of the xp replica decals) can replicate the outline and give these graphics a much needed update.

Pretty excited and can't wait to see what he comes up with

They are not available yet but once he gets my stencils he will be making them and available to anyone

Ok so it took me a couple of days but here is the way I'm going to mount my new captains seats

The hardware

Im going to cut the pole to 4 inch pieces, cut both sides off of the oem plates making them completely flat and them tig weld the seat poles on to the desired location

Here are my 4" cuts. I cut the pipe on both sides so that I have the manufactured ends to weld

Its the garbage aluminum the pieces are made of lol.

My welder is super good and actually teaches at a college

This is his usual work. He does all of my exhaust welch plugs

I'm totally just messing. My favorite piece of equipment when welding is an angle grinder. Hah! Part of the reason I sold my welder.

I want to learn the art of tig but those machines are speedy, and if you are working with less than stellar metals like those you might as well use a spool gun.

Edit:not bashing your welder cause welding junk is harder I think:cheers:

Seat mounts are painted and in! The positioning couldn't be better, the seat swivels smooth with no obstructions and the height is

Dude, this is some sick stuff. So many emotions, envy, jealousy.
Yes you are the guy I want to buy a boat from.

You have obviously been around the block with Sea Doo a couple times! I’m just learning to spend the extra money on OEM parts when I can find them. I have been bitten by aftermarket low quality parts a couple times now.

Thank you for sharing the journey
