Thanks guys, what is the best way to mount the bilge pump in the bottom of the hall my last one I just siliconed it to the bottom....

I mounted the bilge pump basket using 3m 5200 adhesive,

( the basket being the plastic piece on the bottom that can unsnap from bilge pump to allow for cleaning of the metal debris filter screen )

How long have you had it in the ski that way?

All last summer, the adhesive is no joke, there is one version that sets up in 1 hour, and 1 version that sets up in 7 days.

5200 is insane. It's meant as a non removable sealant. I can find it at overtons here. So shouldn't be hard to find.

What one did you go with? Can I get that at menards? Thanks by the way

Im not sure if Menards carries it, but I purchased mine locally at Home Depot. I purchased the 7 day cure as I installed in it the winter time and wasn't in a rush to get it done. Hull surface must be clean, so I used acetone to clean hull surface, then applied the adhesive then the basket and put a big heavy socket in the middle of the basket to keep weight on it while it cured.

On the package it reads that once product is opened it needs to be used within 24 hours blah blah, thus rendering the rest of the adhesive in the tube useless unless you have another project that requires it. Don't worry with that, take the tube put the cap back on and put it in a zip lock bag in your freezer. Whenever you want to use it again grab it and have at it. I frequently grab mine and it is still good. I have adhered lots of other things with it. I purchased the tube that is about the size of a toothpaste tube, not the caulking gun tube size.

700 psi tensile strength!

Be honest...half a chub?? ;) LOL

On the glue, consider shoegoo. Ive found it to be one of the best glues to use aside from the never come off 5200.

I used epoxy and it's rock solid.

I keyed up the underside of the base by just slicing diamonds into it with a sharp knife. Cleaned the point where I was going to install with acetone, and then bonded it in. I chose the lowest point I could where it would still fit.
I went for the full auto Rule 500. Lovely pump, and it means no faff with float switches. Checks for water every 2.5mins, so you can safely leave it overnight in the water providing you've not got a flat battery.

Well got the wastside powers sports hose kit in. Although I was a little disappointed with instructions. My instructions with the tip told me I could gain up to 15 horsepower. Exhaust hose kit did not have a horsepower gain with it.lol

I did get the lake tem installed. This thing is starting to come together

Awesome thanks guys, going to check out that pump stuff.

Also that is looking amazing man. Loving the build!

Did you buy that hose kit from a vendor here?

Nice. I like that you are ahead of me by a few weeks so you get to ask all the questions I'll have lol.

Is that a bilge switch in the middle?
