Instead of welding couldn't you use water jet to cut out, then a decent press brake to bend 90 degrees? I need to see a pic of the sucker to see what its overall shape is. i have an idea just cant remember if welding is required due to design of bracket.

Cool, so a press brake will work. Wonder if anyone on the forum has one, I think one of the guys in Charlotte is a machinist and offered aid in that department if anybody ever had questions on the forum. Cant remember his screen name

I have access to everything from water jet, mil, cnc, lathe, brake, tig.........just not the bracket.

If it has bushings like the OEM bracket it's water jet, brake, lathe, weld.

You alright?

You alright?

yea, I had to go to a specialist this morning and he told me that every thing should be ok got some tendinitis going on and once the swelling goes down it should be ok , in a nut shell i took it as a big case of pussy itis that needs a week before i can take this off lol...took a 80 to 90 mph slap shot right to the hand

was just doing some thinking. my trim tabs are 3*. what is the difference between 3* and them just being flat?

Less drag with the 3* tabs while still keeping the benefits of the extended tab. Less top speed loss vs 0 degree tabs.

Getting back at it tonight this thing turned out really good after buffing. Hopefully I can get the carbs mounted tonight

I did get the carbs on last night. i would like to get the fuel lines hooded up and the rest of my water lines in place tonight but im a little unsure on the fuel lines since i have different carbs now.... Im making a bracket right now to hold my water strainer

Looks like I may need to send you a fuel pump. That fuel rail seems to mount straight to the carbs so it's not gonna pump fuel on its own. Normally there is just a piece of short 1/4" fuel line connecting the two fittings there on the rail. Please PM me that address again if you want a used one. New ones are on ebay here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mikuni-High...ash=item5d450ddf9c:g:56wAAOSwRLZT9REH&vxp=mtr.

Just let me know. It is supposed to be mounted independently of the engine because the engine vibration can mess with it. That's what old school racers told me as my ski went through inspection before a race anyway, I've never personally noticed any performance loss. It has to be mounted in a place where the impulse line is less then 12 inches away though. The back and forth of the impulse gets lost after 12" and you will not be able to maintain a consistent idle.

The pumps have two 1/4" outlet lines so you can attach one to the lower fitting of each carb. Then on the return side the racers put a HS #65 jet in the T that will connect the two upper fittings on each carb.
