does it roll on good if it is not upside down, like a boat

you could do it. Just would take a few more coats to build it up. Bad part is if you did it to a boat on the trailer what about where it hits the trailer?

IM SURE WE COULD FLIP THAT CHALLENGER LOL

If your looking for a hump seat i have the foam from one. You would just have to use your seat pan and cover it pm me if interested

I tried in Florida, it just does donuts

I love it, I want a 2 stroke ski BAD, but the boat is a blast. I might have to come up there next winter and figure out how to flip that sucker over in your shop

im sure we can, i have access to a lift that will flip the boat over. My buddy owns a body shop and they paint boats also.

Has anyone ever run a speedster waterbox on an x4? They are shorter and i was wondering if there is any benefit. If there is ill have a couple spares.

I've never heard of it being done or of it having a potential benefit. I got a race boat in once with a Spec 2 that had a 720 box behind it but it was not a clean build, looked like just what they had laying around.

When the 96XP waterboxes got a rep for broken internal baffles some guys would open them up and remove that baffle as a precaution. These boxes flow and sound good. Other then that it's the 97SPX wb that people should seek. I first learned it from old Bill Oneil advice but I've tested it many times and I think it's worth a 50rpm difference.

I had another tuner tell me he loves his 96XP wb with a broken baffle. He can shake it and hear a piece loose in there. He said he put in a grey wb from a 98SPX and lost 100 rpm+ so he stuck the broken purple one back in there. I'm not recommending people run broken waterboxes but just saying everyone should have a tach and get to know what your boat likes and doesn't like.

I can sell you white paint that could potentially get you 100rpm more. PMfor details. Remember, this is a deal for a potential 100rpm. Act fast for this once in a life time opportunity. The next 15 people to pm will get an additional can for free, just pay separate shipping and handling.

Im selling clear paint good for a potential 500rpm at 1/2 the price of racerxxx, dont pm me for detials, just mail me cash.

Thanks Matt.

Once I get my SPX temp issues settled this spring I'm going to try a speedster box. I'm also curious now to try a 96 box with baffle cut out. I just wonder accuracy of 50-100 rpms gains with changes in temp/humidity etc. I guess if you swapped at the lake and ran one right after the other that would be more scientific.

Scott I'll give you a speedster box also this weekend when we part swap if ur interested to play around with as well.

I hear that running no waterbox with a straight hose it can be good for an additional 125 rpm but since trying it it was the last I heard. LOL.

All joking aside, what internally actually makes the 97 better and why did they go backwards in 98?
