That's kinda what I'm thinking. I have seen people paint it but I think gel would be way better
 
Actually, depending on how much you have I could use some white gelcoat. I need to re-gel the fiberglass bow cover for the speedster. Maybe we can figure something out when you come pick up those engines.

I could also prep that one for you and ship it if u need.

im sure we can work something. Im sending in the one engine out of the spx...it was a crank bearing but i will still take the engines...ill make it down in the next two weeks here. Just waiting for it to work in to the wife's work. Also make a trip to the high limit room lol
 
Sounds good. We'll hit up the casino or a CBJ game although ticket prices are crazy now. I'm out of town fri-wed for my FL trip.

That gel coat is extra weight
 
Haha i here ya.

Ok so i got a question. Im using vts on this build. Is there a way to test the vts box out of the ski. I know i can test the little motor but i just need to see if need another unit or not.

looks like ill stay away from the carbon, i got my 1st and 2nd coat of gel coat on last night. letting it set up then ill get you guys some pics. I still need to do one more coat with rolling it to build the coats up.

Another note. im going to do a light PTO and im going to run a light flywheel (the fly wheel will be done in my mill or dill press so maybe ill post a step by step for that.

Any other things you guys can think to add?

Im going to run egt and water temp and rpms again. I would like to do gps speed so if anyone has some info on the cando? ( i think thats what i need) please let me know.
 
I have the candoo in my spx, works really well and super easy to install.

I think there is a tradeoff for the lightened flywheel and pto. You gain acceleration, but lose speed more quickly in turns and chop since there is less rotating mass to keep revs up.

yep your right, matt had this done to his x4 that we rode in FL. Guess ill just need to stay on the gas a little more lol.
