Andy,
Can you and Dan come up to play with my headache? I pay well in Pizza and Beer. JK! Its funny because we all run the same water for the most part. When Dan was out in August I had my GTI at my parents in OCNJ at Corsons as well.

For quick trips I hit the Delaware at Upper Black Eddy. Thats up here by us. Longer trips I drag it to my parents house in OC. This will be first year with the Challenger and i think I bought your same headache. God I hope not but hey its my luck.
Longer trips we are talking Lake Wallenpaupack (sp?) in the Poconos, and Perhaps Raystown Lake way out in Western PA. Rent either cabins or camp out there for long weekends.
Which SPCA did you go to?

Right in my back yard. I am the next road past Resevoir Rd. Off South Mine. Straight line distance maybe 500 meters. They are good people there and they may have been open about a year so far. I was in there two weeks ago with one of my friends who was looking to adopt a beast. I unfortunately or fortunately have way to many sets of paws in the house right now.
I wonder how bad the inland waterways are right now. It may be a slow couple of first trips this year to assess the conditions and see what happened. I'm hoping a lot of the floatage has moved on or at least been deposited further up on the banks due to the high water right now.

Just read the whole thread. You do great work Guest_User, thanks for posting, quite the story.

As far as how clean you keep that boat - my engine bay looks like that only different.

Couple seasons ago we had several toronados along the Tennessee River and Lake system that tore up everything. There was debris floating in the water all summer long. Some of the debris was from Marinas that were wiped out. The local news channels and TVA posted warnings. While boating/jetskiing we had to keep one eye peeled for floating debris just at or below the water surface.
Be careful out there this summer. There is no telling what lurks just below the water's surface. I feel your pain.

Thanks. I`m pretty sure we will not be riding around here anytime soon... Maybe just to dunk the boat in the water and fire it up and make adjustments, but otherwise we`ll have to travel/tow elsewhere to ride. Which will also cut the riding activities by more than 50%.:(

I even went as far as to change up the set up in the tow rig. removed the 3" ToyTec lift, Viper winch from the bumper, removed the PM1 Battery and replaced with stock. Just this weight savings and height reduction brought back a few more MPG`s. It`s going to be a weird year for sure...

what is the 3 inch toy-tec lift?
Pics please...:)

Man I couldn`t wait to get started on recommissioning the Boat again for the season.
Started out installing 2 new SBT starters, Had a question out to them about the 9 tooth VS the 8 tooth OEM starters and was told all will be fine... After that, installed the cylinder drain hoses (left long), and the RV oil hoses (left long) to simplify the engine installation.
Went and towed the boat back to the driveway for the unveiling of the shrink wrap after this rain passes by.
Added a tire carrier and switched around the trailer jack for room.
Have another pair of hubs to install on the trailer, change up some wiring, and go over everything.
Have Racor fuel/water separators to mount and plumb, steering cable to replace, engine mounts to install, and go thru the throttle cables again. Time to get busy!;):coolgleam:

Yeah, you make me jealous. lol
I need to get started on my 99 challenger. I have my GTX DI all squared away and ready for summer. I also have made great progress my John Deere tractor project. (wrong forum) Lately, time has not been on my side. The boat is sitting in the barn calling my name.
I am determined to get the 99 ready over the next couple of weeks, because I am hoping my youngest Daughter will feel well enough to go on a few boat rides this summer. She and Her Husband live an hour and a half away so...provided She is up to it, I will be doing the "travel to the water thing" like you.

I am anxious to see how the SBT starters work out for you. Keep us informed.
