The Factory exhaust manifold I have already has 2 holes tapped and currently plugged. Are these close enough for the EGT sensors or do I need to drill/tap new ones? Location isn't ideal with the current holes.

Any thoughts on this?? I'd prefer not to drill more holes if I don't absolutely have to. I'm afraid when the sensors are installed they may be in the way of everything in this location but will give it a try. These holes are all the way through the mani.

The EGT arrives this week so will be able to install this weekend.

Matts going to be the best on this. He told me to cut the tabs off on the side od the stock one and go right in the middle...

Thanks! I may end up doing the same depending on test fit this weekend. Nice work on the sponsons btw. I also saw a bilge pump in your last pic did you go manual or automatic? I couldn't decide and ended up with a manual pump with the hot products handlebar switch.

Thanks man. I also went with a manual pump. My switch will be on the dash tho. I'll post a pic when I get back home

Why not do both? I've got an auto Rule 500. Just made my own waterproof 3 way switch, and tapped it in next to my primer. Can leave it on Auto when in the marina overnight, or leave it set to off when on the land.
It senses for water every 2.5 mins. Hence why leaving it in auto drains the battery. Better than a float switch which would flap in the chop.

Good point, I may end up doing that. I have the 3 way switch on my boat but had to make the switch setup similar to what u have.

I would likely wire an auto switch somewhere under the seat and the manual on/off on the handlebars in case I got in trouble. I only leave my ski in the water 1-2 times a year, so I don't need it to be convenient to access. The hot products switch and billet handlebar mount is pretty nice so definitely want to use it.

Took advantage of the 60 degree weather and got the engine, pipe, etc all prepped and painted. Was gonna go with black/yellow, but couldn't bring myself to paint anything in steelers colors.

R&D trim tabs shined up pretty well. Once polished you can actually see the machining for the 3 degrees.

what did the top of the trim tabs look like?

Is this the old style pickup and pump drive or am I good? I just want to be sure I'm not pulling this thing apart again mid-summer.

Thats the old 96 style. I have updated ones available.

Also, just use those EGT points. Thats where mine are located and my temps are very similar to what I saw on braleys GSX in the other mounting location.

Thanks Nick. Can you add those to my tab and let me know cost?

Koso EGT arrived today along with jettrim cover. I got the EGT gauge which also has water temp and tach built in.

My plan is to use the water temp just as a lake temp sensor and put the sensor in line either directly before or after the water strainer. I like to know lake temp, but is there any advantage to moving the temp sensor to cooling water leaving the engine? I would think the EGT sensors would be enough but would appreciate opinions.

how many mm is the blue part? 1/2in is 13mm and the best i can find is 16mm (5/8 i think) makes me wonder if i could heat the blue hose to get it around the 16mm

14mm. If you zoom in its printed on there I got this one off amazon for $24.

I'm liking the lake temp feature. That's a nice improvement over the old Hottachs. That and the screen turning red when the temps hit your preset.

Only had a few hours Sunday to work on the ski. I did get the UMI mounted and started mocking up the bars. I'm waiting to drill holes for the cables until I've got everything mounted. I know I'm going to either need to enlarge the existing hole or cut an additional on the opposite side. There are a lot of wires coming out of the Koso.

I also got the Jettrim cover on. Looks good other than a few small wrinkles I struggled to get out in the middle side.
