Some progress although not too exciting. 5 hours of wet sanding then buffing and the lower hull is done.

Thanks! I'm just glad to be done buffing for a while.

I have the R&D 3 degree tabs as well as intake. I did some light sanding with 800 grit on those and will start polishing this weekend. There was some oxidation on each which I didn't think would simply polish off.

Might as well pop off the ride plate and reseal it since you have all the screws out thats the hard part

Ok no rush on the bracket pics.

As for the ride plate I may do that but it's a pain to remove. Is there any benefit at all to an after market ride plate on an x4?

That damn 95 pink! I thought it was dull and and needed more work forever. Then you look at it from a different angle and bam! It has like a sparkle to it

Took advantage of the 60 degree weather and got the engine, pipe, etc all prepped and painted. Was gonna go with black/yellow, but couldn't bring myself to paint anything in steelers colors.

R&D trim tabs shined up pretty well. Once polished you can actually see the machining for the 3 degrees.

Yeah, same here but didn't realize I bought the satin. I may respray 1-2 coats of gloss before I install everything.

The Factory exhaust manifold I have already has 2 holes tapped and currently plugged. Are these close enough for the EGT sensors or do I need to drill/tap new ones? Location isn't ideal with the current holes.

Do those hole go all the way through? That may be where they tapped into the water jacket for dual or reverse cooling.

Not mounted yet but the '95 XP 800 hood is sexy. I can't believe how mint it is cause I didn't clean it one bit.
