    Rave valve trimming

And there is a minimum spec for rave clearance, just be sure you are over it. It's around .015 I believe but don't quote me.

    Rave valve trimming

Did you have the machine shop do the chamfer the second time around or do it yourself? And how long did it run for unchamfered? Just curious for my own knowledge.

1997 Seadoo Sportster HALF Acceleration and NO Plane on boat.

You're going to want to verify your jet sizes. I have the FSM and can get you the right numbers. You're going to want to buy 2 genuine mikuni rebuild kits and use genuine mikuni valves and seats. There goes $200 in parts. Always always use genuine mikuni parts. Afterward, set your needles to the...

    Broken intake grate

Yeah I'd pull that pump. And I can definietly feel the difference between my 98 GTXL that has a grate and the other 98 GTXL that currently does not. Way more bite on the hole shot.

    Rave valve trimming

The radius doesn't matter entirely. Make it as nice as you can but I just trace the edge in with a scribe and hit the grinding wheel. It's not exactly a precision part in regards to fitment against the piston.

    1997 Seadoo Sportster

Ah no it's not cavitating. Do not go to a single carb. To be honest you seem really rich on those needle settings. Did you try setting it to factory? I'm assuming you have stock jets in it. As much as I'd hate to say it, pulling them and verifying the jet size will be beneficial. Let me know if...

    Please help Trouble shoot - 2012 RXT - 260

I went through the same issue on my '11. Do you have the updated intercooler with the additional "pee hole" water outlet/indicator in the rear of the hull? It's an updated design to the intercooler. Basically seadoo says to thoroughly flush it after use and monitor the water coming out the...

    Timing ? Rotary Valve

Thats how I did it... and I cant stress enough- GENTLY. If there is debris, I would highly recommend doing the rear bearing of the RV shaft. Thankfully I have access to the long reach puller that is needed, so it was simple. The reason I say this is because the oil cavity behind the bearing may...

    Timing ? Rotary Valve

Yes you can buy an assembled RV shaft from mostly anywhere.. Another possible issue (and one I ran into personally) Is that the RV shaft is a brass gear, the crank gear is hardened steel. I bought a 587 GTS that did not have the correct oil being used. The brass gear fused itself to the steel...

    Sea doo 580 Issues

pair of GTS's or GS's? The GS was only a 717 from 97-00 and the GTS was around from 92-2000 and got the 717 in 1997. Only reason I'm saying this is because we need to know what exactly you have. With that said- What are the compression numbers for each cylinder? Does the ski still have gray...

What an idiot at the dock today...

^ I see what you did there!!! :) When my wife is loading her ski I just put my hand in the middle of the bunks where the bow needs to go, she does the rest! (Apparently the winch isn't sufficient.....)
