Hello Everyone,
I hate that this is my introduction to the Sea Doo community but well here it goes...
So I was out riding with 2 friends and we did a 180 spin which I hadn't realized but it so much different when you have other riders... It now makes sense but needless to say we got bailed and flipped the ski upside down. Now the water here in Buffalo is about 50 so when we went in we all panicked and flipped it as quick as we could without thinking about the right way to flip it, after getting back on and checking the label on the back I see that we did it the wrong way...
Now the good thing (I hope) is that the ski started up just fine and brought us back to the dock. I docked it on an easy dock port out of the water and upon inspecting the inside, the ski did have some water which drained out quickly but not an uwful amount. Most everything inside seemed pretty dry actually. I inspected the oil for a "milky" texture using the dipstick and it looked normal, just oil looking.
So my question is does flipping it the wrong way ALWAYS do damage? Is it possible that she's okay? (Not that I'll ever do it again after the scare). Also, is there anything I'm missing that I should inspect or look for or anything that I should do as a precaution? What is the best process here?
This thing is brand new with only 6 hours on it and I would hate to have already made an awful mistake. Thank you all for the help and it's a pleasure to join the Sea Doo community!!
My best,
Chris Alan
