I know you’ve been through the carbs twice but there’s really no place else to look. I’m going to try the bat signal @mikidymac you have any idea’s
That’s the size Seadoo source calls forIt’s a 1.5 mm but it didn’t come with the kit I ordered it separately but made sure it was genuine mikuni.
Yes I did a leak test and it was perfect. I’ll check the gasket but it’s brand new and I’m pretty sure it’s down tight enough. Is there a way to check for air leaks like this? I’ve heard of people spraying like soapy water so it bubbles or wd-40 and if it’s leaking it’ll rev up.If you are having to keep it running with the choke then you are not getting enough gas or too much air in normal operating mode... Did you do a leak test on carbs? also check the gasket between carb and intake, make sure it is on and tight.
So what would you suggest next? Take off the carb again? If it had an air leak anywhere beyond the carb in the intake system you would typically have hard starting and a runaway where the engine goes to full rpm out of control.
Seeing you have to pull the choke you are lean so it is fuel starvation from something.
If you are running premix more than 50:1 and oil injection you are going to smoke like crazy and foul plugs but it still should not needed the choke to run.
Already tried and it stays exactly the same.I would run a fuel line from the carb directly to a fuel source and see if that changes anything.
No possibility of being blocked or collapsing they are all brand new and have been checked. One thing to try is spray a little carb cleaner/brake cleaner around the intake mount to see if you get a raise in rpm, just make sure it isn't near the carb opening. It isn't good for the motor though, no oils in fluid, so don't do it much. You can also use a smoke machine but that is harder to get.
and the motor has to be running
are your hoses good, gas line could be partially blocked or collapsing?
