What is your tow rig?

Used to tow with '98 Grand Cherokee, 4.7L V8, full-time 4WD. But we sold that one last year. You can see the back of it in the pic with the ski's. Great little SUV with a lot of get-up-&-go with the small V8.

Now we tow with the 'Burb: 2000 Suburban 4WD. This is my work truck and it sees quite a bit mud. If the Suburban isn't available (like it was 2 weeks ago - getting another new transmission!), then we use our beast: 2004 Excursion Eddie Bauer 4WD with the 6.0L diesel.

I tow with a 2007 dodge magnum v6. The fuel econmy goes to hell at 14mpg when your towing but it barely squats at all and can get up to 80mph on the highway no problem! braking is fine with disk brakes on all corners. I think It just goes to show almost anything can tow a boat. Check my profile pic to see the magnum pulling it.

I have an 07 Honda CRV to tow my 99 challenger 1800. I was a little concerned about this car but it has shown to be great for the task. This is Miami so it is flat. I can see problems if you had hills. It does work hard when going over tall bridges.

Pulling the boat out of the ramp with front wheel drive has been a non issue. In fact, I have seen people having trouble with pulling an empty trailer in low tide with pickup trucks. The CRV pulls the boat out effortlessly.

Brakes in the CRV are all disk and had no issues so far. i do drive very conservatively with slow accelerations and plenty of time to brake.

Chris

Nice Excursion you have there, looks like you may have a possibal 3" body lift, also what rims do you have on there. Thanks

I will post pictures of my new to me towing machine. I got rid of the Maxima and now have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe with the 5.7 350 in fire engine red thats stock for now:cheers:

kmack were did you get that sick ass color scheme

We bought it used 4 years ago just outside of Austin, Tx. The black fender flares were what sold me on the truck. I love the two-tone look. I wish I had a better picture of when the 'Burb is clean. Between the metallic and the gloos black of the flares it really does look sharp.

Thanks for the compliment.

kmac i actualy ment ur blue seadoo never seen such colors ! but yeh your truck are those aftermarket flares or what never seen that.

well....'96 XJ (cherokee) 4'' up 33x10.50's, bumperless, with shaved fenders, no ac, 4.7L stroker does the trick tho...where is all the jeeper's?

I tow my '06 wake 155 with my 2001 20th anniversary Maxima. I normally get my Mom to duck down when towing to lessen the drag coefficient however. :)

'79 Cherokee "Super Chief"

I know, there's no boat in that picture but I didn't take one yet.
We went wheeling out in Idaho and the Chief got the job done!

Those are the original colors for that Seadoo. We bought it along with the GSX from the original owners. Both ski's were down in Galveston and had been in saltwater their entire life. But they were meticulously maintained. And stored inside. We got a hell of deal on them, too.
